“EDIT: Have to edit this review cause the underlying leak issue wasn't addressed and it leaked again while E&E did come out again and refill the freon free of charge they said they would try something else to find the leak but I never heard back. So I hired another HVAC technician name Alex with Ventura Heating & Air. (There's a few but his contact has the 661 area code). After he came he told me what should have been done by the previous HVAC companies to find a microleak but didn't. They were supposed section off the outdoor condenser, 2 freon pipes, and the indoor coil and run a nitrogen pressure test with gauges on each area... Then leave them for 3-5 days and come back to see which one drops. Companies don't like to do this cause it takes a lot of time and multiple visits but Ventura did it all for $400. We found the leak and it was inside the indoor coil that Ed&Ed had said they patched which I paid $1600 for but what I learned from Alex was the unit wasnt worth repairing cause it was so rusted and badly worn and the recomdation should have been replacement from the beginning, ended replacing the unit with a hard to find coil which Alex had to reorder 3 times due to quality control questions for the replacement coil which he had to pull out of another unit and install a r-410 valve on (had a old R-410a coil that's hard to find) but Alex eventually found it and installed for $2400. The service I got from Ed & Ed was fine and other services done were indeed satisfactory like the installation of a condenser pump but their expensive in retrospect and not above and beyond what I was needing to solve my microleak issue so this is why I'm amending this review to a 3 star. Added one more picture of my shiny new indoor coil that Alex installed for reference. Just happy to have a working AC again. Was having freon leak issues with my HVAC system for over two years and spent close to $3000 on 3 different HVAC companies to try and find and fix the leak and refill my freon but they had all given up on finding the leak after only an hour or so of trying and simply used a leak stop with expensive freon refills in the hopes it would fix the issue, but it never worked. Finally when I called Ed and Ed to try and get a quote on a new HVAC system they actually offered to do a thorough leak test at a reasonable price that I could be in installments, and if they found nothing I wouldnt be charged much if there was no leak found. I appreciated this since they simply could of sold me a new system which would have been really expensive. Ed and Ed did a comprehensive leak test and found a major leak in my indoor coil which they fixed much to my relief, however a few months later I find out there is another leak somewhere in my system and though I'm quite frustrated at this point as I spent 3 years and now over $4000 on trying to fix my AC unit, but when Ed and Ed heard about the issue and came out again they did another complimentary leak test on my system and found and sealed another small leak. This company stands by there work, their on time, very flexible and kind and felt the service by their team and their office manager was excellent and gave sound advice and service without the upsell and with strong guarantees on their work. Will be using their services from here on out for all my AC needs. 5 stars! ☺️”
