About
Mid-Cities Electrical Contractors handles electrical work for homes in Hurst, Texas from their location at 209 Simmons Drive between Cullum Avenue and West Hurst Boulevard. Local homeowners reach them at 817-268-4144 when power issues arise in houses or around properties. The crew focuses on wiring tasks common to the area including outdoor setups that tie into pools and other features where lights and equipment need reliable connections. They operate as a straightforward local operation dealing with the demands of Texas weather on electrical systems and the steady flow of repair and installation calls that come from nearby neighborhoods.
They perform electrical installations tied to pool builds along with fixes for lights and related power problems that surface after the fact. Customers have described initial contact as responsive with follow up that seemed solid at first but then shifted when a pool light failed and the crew claimed it fell outside warranty then pushed a service call to another contractor. One job stretched from a promised two weeks into two months with the owner only reaching out to collect final payment. Other cases showed lights going dark within two years and coping problems appearing around the pool area after self cleaning features were added during the original electrical work.
Feedback from the 44 reviews shows price often came in as a strong point while speed quality and communication drew consistent complaints especially around warranty follow through and sticking with jobs once payments started. Homeowners noted good early service that faded when issues like pool light failures required return visits and left properties in rough shape. The pattern points to solid upfront pricing but weaker results on execution and long term support in the Hurst area. DIRT Score 3.53 from 44 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“**Update** New photo added, to show the carnage of our backyard demolition process. This review is not about a poorly constructed pool. It is entirely the result of MCCP not honoring their word and their warranty - ghosting us so they can avoid the problem. It only made things more disastrous for our family and is costing us tens of thousands of dollars. Hundreds if we choose to rebuild from scratch. Original post: Long story short, our experience with Mid City has been a nightmare. Within a year, our pool has fallen apart, cracked all throughout, won’t hold water and is leaking into our yard. There is so much water in our yard that the ground has now swelled to the point that pool is leaning. We’ve been trying to get their attention for 7 months now, and they can barely muster the energy to email back. They won’t honor a warranty, won’t call back, and when they do, they have a lot of excuses. We’ve now spent thousands trying to correct the mistake of hiring them. Mid City is extremely short handed for the amount of work they take on (their words, not mine) and can most likely build your pool quickly, but will not and cannot help you if things go wrong. Please beware.”
“Must read to the end!! Customer service seemed fantastic at first. Follow up and follow through was stellar!! However we needed to call them back for an issue with the pool light, to which they said it was not under warranty and would be a service call and to call the contractor they recommended. All for an item that would probably take 20 minutes and a new light ring to fix. The pool came with a 3 year warranty and still has a little under two years left. Not sure that means anything if Mid City Pools decides they don't want to honor it. We will just pay someone to come and repair. Wish their moral compass was a little stronger. I am so proud to update the above review with most deserving highest marks!! Wow Mid Cities has restored my original perception of being a top self company! I received a call from the owner whom read my review of dissatisfaction. He very professionally explained the breakdown in communication and was expedient to take care of the issue. This is the type of customer service we all hope to give as well as receive. I highly recommend using Mid Cities Pools for any goods and services they can provide...The entire Greene family absolutely will! Thanks Mid Cities!! Based on the above we decided to use Mid Cities to build our next pool...and did...Evidently old behaviors DO NOT change. We built a new home and pool about 4 years ago in Colleyville. Mid Cities ability to deliver good customer service throughout the construction was not great, but we did suffer through it. However there were issues they refused to address at the end of the build and now we have an issue with the Pebble Tech Plaster we selected. 1. The issue on the build was the spa was not centered (off to the left by about 10 inches) and the spillway out of the spa is also off center about 4-5 inches. (See Picture) We felt stuck and to fix this would be to costly for us to bare on our own! 2. Recently (April of this year) we had a spot of plaster come off. In all fairness it is small (about the size of a quarter). So we looked up our plaster warranty which it clearly states it has a 15 year warranty, which is what they sold to us (see picture of warranty) However even though we presented to Mid Cities, their own written warranty stating it is covered, they blamed the plaster manufacture and will not honor their warranty. The manufacture (Wet Edge) says it is not the product but the workmanship....which I tend to agree. Non the less Mid Cities says they are not responsible and if we want it repaired it will cost us between $500 and $1000...end of discussion. We will fix our plaster, but it won't be thru Mid Cities. Can't afford to spend another dime with them.. In closing if you choose to build with Mid Cities, Be Cautious, they don't have a very good history in honoring their commitments!”
“I really thought I had dodged a bullet but it’s clear this company only cares about signing you up and getting your money. Lack of quality but even more so, zero customer service. Only time I heard from the owner was because he wanted his last payment. A 2-week job that turned into 2 months. It’s a shame. Buyer beware for sure.”
“The best thing about this company was the price & the self cleaning options. Now we regret using them. Within 2 years of our pool being installed the light went out and the coping around our pool started corroding and needs to be replaced.”
“Mid City Pools just completed our pool this week. From start to finish we have been extremely pleased! Eric sold us the pool then Craig (BC) took over. BC was on the spot! He kept us updated daily! Each and every crew we worked with were professional and fun and got the job done in the extreme heat. We have a smaller backyard and they made our pool design work and it turned out beautiful! We broke ground on May 11th and filled the pool on July 13th. We are so happy and will recommend this company to everyone we know!!”
