Solar Alternatives
Electrician · Harahan, AR
About
Solar Alternatives handles electrician work from their base in Harahan where they put in solar panel systems and related electrical setups for houses and small commercial spots. The crew focuses on gear built to last 25 to 30 years that pulls power straight from the strong local sun and cuts down on monthly utility bills that keep climbing in the heat. Electricians in this line see plenty of calls to tie new panels into existing wiring while making sure everything holds up against the constant moisture and temperature swings that hit the area year round.
Homeowners around Harahan face frequent power demands from air conditioning that runs hard in summer along with storm risks that knock out lines and damage outdoor equipment. These electricians handle jobs like running new circuits for battery storage units, upgrading service panels to handle solar input, and fixing connections that corrode faster in the Gulf humidity. They also install Tesla solar roof sections and commercial battery banks that store energy for use after dark or during outages. The work often starts with checking current wiring for load capacity then adding inverters and meters that let the system feed back into the grid without issues.
Electricians here earn steady marks when they show up on time for hot weather installs, keep the quality high so nothing fails after the first big rain, and lay out clear costs upfront without surprises on the final bill. Communication stays direct on what each step involves and how long it will take in real conditions. DIRT Score 4.17 from 114 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“We upgraded from Tesla Powerwall 2 to Tesla Powerwall 3 with Solar Alternatives and the experience was excellent. Brady and Anthony were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with from start to finish. The install was smooth, efficient, and everything was left clean and organized. Highly recommend them if you’re considering a battery upgrade!”
“Our house gets intense afternoon sun, especially in the upstairs bedrooms, so we decided to install solar screens to help with heat and glare. This company made the entire process simple and surprisingly affordable compared to what we expected. The technician explained different screen options clearly and recommended products based on our actual needs instead of pushing the most expensive package. Installation was completed quickly, and the finished screens blend nicely with the exterior of the home. Compared to before, the rooms stay noticeably cooler during the hottest part of the day, and the air conditioner doesn’t seem to run nearly as often anymore.”
“I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the level of professionalism, expertise, and dedication that Solar Alternatives brings to the solar industry. Their team genuinely cares about customer experience, system performance, and doing the job the right way. What stands out most is their commitment to long-term support after installation. A lot of companies focus only on the sale, but Solar Alternatives continues to invest in service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer communication long after the project is complete. The technicians are knowledgeable, safety-focused, and willing to go the extra mile to solve problems correctly instead of cutting corners. The company also continues to improve processes, training, and operations to better serve customers across Louisiana and the G”
“Paid a very high price to have solar alternatives install an EV charger while overseas. Came back to find they ran 6 gauge romex to a 60 amp breaker, which is a code violation when attached to a continuous load like an EV charger. They also draped the cable over my roof rafters hanging unsecured near the attic door. This is a NEC code violation and a fire hazard. I've been waiting 5 days since my charger failde for a call back. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and will not hesitate to file an LSLBC complaint if this is not resolved next week. Max Erenberg was excellent when I first reached out, super knowledgeable. It is difficult to reach him because whenever I call the receptionist says someone will call me back and no one does. *Edit* company owner reached out. They're planning to ”
“We are very happy with the solar panels and battery back-up system that Solar Alternatives installed. The system is saving us hundreds of dollars each month and has increased our property’s value. Everyone at Solar Alternatives has been professional, efficient, and friendly - from Greg, who came to our home and educated us about the benefits of solar energy, to Stacy, our project manager, who communicated with us about every step in the process, to the installers and electricians. I highly recommend Solar Alternatives for their expertise and trustworthy service. -Claudia B.”
“So far I’ve only had a consultation, so I will speak on that. Let me just say I was purely blown away by the sales rep!! Having been in the sales game myself, she did all the right things. She was attentive, personable, passionate, driven, AND refreshing. She delivered! She truly cared about the solar initiative and getting me the best product for my needs. I want to make it very clear that she did her job and sold me on the company and everything they do and have to offer. Her name is Ashley P. If you’re hesitant about the whole process ask for her! I have no doubts she will make you feel as comfortable as possible and be transparent in the process. Give them a call and ask for her :)”
“I needed a better energy solution for my home, especially with Florida storms causing outages. Solar Alternatives helped me install a solar and battery system that gives me peace of mind. The whole process was organised, and the service was excellent.”
“My solar panels are fine I’m happy with that. My problem is getting the paperwork to claim my solar credit for 2024 and 2025 taxes I have called and talked to 3 different people about this issue. But so far I haven’t received anything 2 months later. I paid for my panels myself no financing Solar Aternative didn’t have to wait for money. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get the paperwork I need with all the technology we have. Well it’s been a month and 1/2 when I asked for the 2024 and 2025 documents to apply to my taxes for my solar credits I need this asap tax deadline is Wednesday April 15 I think this is ridiculous.”
“I have been very pleased with Solar Alternatives in Nola. They are responsive and provide quality service. For example, they recently resolved a constant noise issue that was apparently caused by a brief outage and blown breaker on a SATURDAY afternoon. It would have been miserable to wait until Monday —-for my neighbors and me. Thank you Antony and Solar Alternatives for your prompt assistance! I truly appreciate your dedication! Jan”
“Let me be clear: I’m not getting paid to write this, nor offered anything of value, nor a discount in any form. I’m writing because I’m a satisfied customer and it’s hard to find a business you can rely on. We recently had Solar Alternatives install solar panels on our house, a raised double. We had one side of the house done in 2024 by another company. Less than a year later, they were out of business. That’s when we turned to Solar Alternatives. They’ve been in business for 15 years and handle both residential & commercial installations. They actually have a track record. Most importantly, they responded immediately to our inquiry and had someone out the next morning. That person was Brady Morgan. He went through the entire project with us, did the leg work of determining what our cur”
