Green Light Solar Llc
Electrician · Houston, TX
About
Green Light Solar Llc works out of Houston as electricians who handle solar power jobs across Texas and the surrounding states of Oklahoma, Louisiana, Colorado, and Arizona. The outfit focuses on putting up full systems that tie into home electrical service, including battery storage and panel upgrades to meet local codes. Crews deal with everything from basic rooftop arrays to bigger setups that replace outdated wiring and breaker boxes that date back decades and fall short of current standards for adding solar. Homeowners in the area often call them when old 1960s panels block new installs or when they need to add capacity for extra loads like vehicles.
The work centers on full turnkey installations that include running new circuits, mounting dozens of panels, and hooking up storage units like Tesla Powerwalls. One job in Fort Worth saw the team swap out a 1966 breaker panel that failed city code so solar could go in safely, with Juan as the master electrician leading the fix alongside Jacob E, Gavin, Nathan, Matthew, and Joshua. Another project wrapped a sixty panel array plus three Powerwalls in three days flat, handled by Aaron, Joshua, and the rest of the crew. They also manage energy storage additions and smart controls that tie the whole setup together without leaving loose ends on the electrical side.
Customers keep coming back for the speed on big jobs and the way the crews sort out real electrical problems on site rather than leaving homeowners to chase parts. Reviews highlight how the install teams move fast, get code issues fixed right the first time, and deliver solid results on both small fixes and full scale additions without dragging things out. The price side holds up when the work matches what was promised upfront, and communication stays direct through the install phase. DIRT Score 4.44 from 667 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“The Green Light Solar install team was the best! Jacob E, Juan, Gavin, Nathan, Matthew and, Joshua! Where also they replaced my old, inadequate 1966 circuit breaker panel that was not even up to Fort Worth city code to be used with solar panels. Juan is the Master Electrician who did get all my house circuits correct! And who led the huge amount of other wirings additions like for the battery, too! Jacob E was his much learned Journeyman who is now at the Master Electrician level himself! They both did all this electrical work with professional caliber! If ever wanted to join a team of good workers this is that team! And Gavin, Nathan and, Matthew were the roof solar panel installation team! They too did their install jobs to such a high caliber level of professionalism as very well! Even after it was caught by the Roof Master Nathan that the wrong solar panels had been brought then installed! Where instead of just letting this go this excellent roof team did remove all those not correct solar panels then carefully installed the correct higher performing better solar panels! Upgrading my solar panel system! This is the high integrity that I wanted and expected! After suffering the opposite earlier! That had created several bad problems of wiring the initial solar panels into my old 1966 circuit breaker panel! That's not even up to city code for those solar panels! Where those initial solar panel wiring at that old circuit breaker panel were getting warm then hot during sunny day operations! A fire hazard! That only Green Light Solar was willing to fix! So I thank God for Green Light Solar and their great expert install team with Jacob E, Juan, Gavin, Nathan, Matthew and, Joshua! The much better best workers that are most definitely worthy to be hired! They are God's saving grace here! Hallelujah! My much needed solar panels install problems solvers! Like WOW! Man!”
“The salesman told me everything I needed to hear to get the sale. I told him that I needed more panels than for my current use because I wanted to get an EV. He kept underselling me. I insisted on adding 3 more. Now, 2 years later, I barely produce enough for my current usage, even with the extra 3 I insisted on. I need to replace my roof due to storm damage. They have to do the uninstall and reinstall, to keep from voiding the warranty. I couldn't find a good phone number for them. The one on their website doesn't work anymore. My roofer finally reached them. They gave my insurance company a quote, then AFTER it was approved they added $2.6k more for travel. $100/per panel. Explain to me why travel is charged per panel. Does it cost more on travel to replace 26 than 10? The insurance will only approve their original quote. They should have included travel in their original quote. They shouldn't even charge it! The salesman promised this was a LOCAL company! They also said it would take 2 weeks to schedule it, but we're already behind because of all the rain! Now, I don't have a phone number and they won't reply to any of my emails. I'm up against a time crunch and they're ghosting me. If you are considering this company, run for your life! I'm headed to the BBB next.”
“So fare I'm not impressed.. first my loan way active before my system was turn on.. then my sales Representatives that sold me the system no longer work with the company! And I had to jump through hoops to find someone in the company that deals with repairs because after the second year my inverters on the individual panels keep going out. Now I have one that is out and I can't even get knowing out to repair it. They state State all field checks are grounded for right now and cannot come to locations. But I have no idea on timeline or when they'll be there. But I'm paying on a loan that I can't even get the correct service for. I would not recommend going solar just for this because even when I did get repairs done it took a month or more to get someone out because of their schedule. Well the inconveniences. I'm paying a higher light bill than what I should have been paying. Second, when these cells cells rep sold me the system they don't tell you you only use 80% of a solar panel. So they told me I was getting a 7,000 KW system and I only produce Max a day 6000KW of a system That's if the Sun is fully shining, but with panels keep going out. I'm not even producing that which causes my light bill to go even higher and they promised me I wouldn't have a very high light bill. Now look I pay two bills. Don't go solar or don't use them at least!!!!”
“I recently had a 60-panel solar system with 3 Tesla Powerwalls installed by Green Light Solar, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! The project was completed in just three days, which was incredibly impressive given the scale of the installation. A huge shoutout to Aaron, Joshua, Josh, and Dawson, the electricians who ensured everything was wired perfectly and up to code. Their attention to detail and expertise were outstanding. The solar installation team—Tyler, Ethan, Jacob, and Jeremiah—did a fantastic job mounting and setting up the panels with precision and care. They worked efficiently and left everything looking great. I also want to recognize Dalton, the Construction Manager, who kept the entire project running smoothly. His communication and leadership ensured the process was seamless from start to finish. If you’re considering solar, I highly recommend Green Light Solar! The team was professional, courteous, and committed to delivering top-quality work. The addition of the Tesla Powerwalls has given me peace of mind with energy storage and backup power. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thanks again to everyone involved!”
“~ My first good thought was that the team arrived on schedule. My husband has an Engineer Mentality and remarked: “They are well-organized and cohesive as a team with division of responsibilities, and their company gave them ample time to complete their jobs in a coordinated effort”. ~ My thoughts were that there was great teamwork between the Installers and the Electricians. Each person had a distinct job assignment, and was well-equipped by their company with the right tools for each task. They all inter-related with respect between themselves to combine their individual and shared jobs as seasoned professionals. -~ Conclusion: At the very beginning both Electricians gave us an overview of their goals for the day, and welcomed our questions. Then when their portion of the project was completed, they gave us clear-cut answers to assist us in navigating any company installation emails and their related links. Several positive traits we noted were: Clean-cut and tidy; Safety Conscious; and, everyone joined in the clean-up process. ~ Overall, we would like to say that they impressed us as being: “Good Southern Gentlemen who were Exceedingly Polite”. Our Survey Score is Definitely at “the Highest Level” offered by their Company.”
