“Westbury was great besides one issue. My son was bullied by a teacher since November of 2025. I’ve dealt with this woman calling me at 10:30 PM on thanksgiving which I didn’t think nothing of at the time. Until 12 in the morning on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve Mrs. Jenora Haynes told me that my son was missing 6 assignments so I put him on punishment. On Christmas. A couple hours later my son asked me to call her back on speaker I did. He said Hello Mrs.Haynes do you remember helping me with those assignments in the back of the class. She said yes. Then he stated I gave them to you right after I was finished. miss Haynes said Oh yeah. I about lost my marbles but I didn’t. I reached out to two different principals with no solution. Miss Haynes still hasn’t gave his credit for those assignments and refused to let my son catch up. That was totally uncalled for and unfair. If you want to pull up My Son’s grade he had an A in that class all the way up into that one incident.. She would call me every few days to tell me he’s not paying attention. I would express to her that he has ADHD. He’s not a bad disobedient child but he cannot pay attention long out of all teachers I have encountered. They’ve all been helpful with Dedric and understanding. Every other class he was able to catch up on. He has been through a lot of abuse and trauma in his past two years. Some days he needs extra attention, redirection and time. Miss Haynes has still refused. She is very unprofessional and she creates a bad name for that school. Everybody else in there has been very accommodating very professional. It’s crazy just because someone has gotten a $10,000 scholarship that Miss Haynes does not reap any consequences. My son has been in that class more days then she has and he will not receive a credit for taking that class this whole entire year. I have coached my son to put his head down when he’s around her and do the best he can. I’ve also had to get home seen at a mental hospital for depression for the stuff he was going through with one specific teacher.. He was so excited to be in business class moving from Kentucky because classes like that weren’t offered. Now he doesn’t want anything to do with business. I would understand if my son was doing drugs, getting in the fights, being defiant, but he goes to school and comes straight home. Has he gotten in trouble for not completing the assignment on time yes but that he has made them up. I believe My Son has more than ADHD but it’s one step at a time. We will not be returning next year. A grown adult woman was able to keep My Son from getting the credit for that class and nobody that I have reached out to is paying attention to this woman. I also know I’m not the only person with this complaint. I’ve heard it from other parents and other colleagues. This is crazy. I forgot one thing. I’m so sorry this is so long but the last time Miss Haynes called me a girl in the classroom recorded our conversation that same conversation Miss Haynes was talking about My Son‘s disabilities in front of the whole classroom, which is a complete HIPAA violation and to know like a 14-year-old girl has this video she could spread around the school and my son get made fun of is ridiculous. I have the video. I shared with a principal but No consequence what’s really going on Westbury. HISD”

“This review is to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the experiences my child and I have faced while enrolled in Houston Independent School District (HISD). Due to my job, my family has moved frequently, and my children have attended various districts over the years, including Katy ISD, Cy-Fair ISD, Spring ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and Pasadena ISD. Out of all these experiences, HISD has proven to be the most troubling. Last year, my daughter attended Clifton Middle School for only two days before I had to withdraw her due to alarming incidents involving the teaching staff. This year, I had hoped for a better experience; however, we are once again faced with unprofessional behavior from teachers. For instance, my daughter was questioned about her choice to wear braids, and a nutritionist went so far as to intimidate her with aggressive remarks. The disrespectful demeanor from the faculty has not only been directed at my child but has also been directed at me as a parent. Moreover, I am extremely concerned about the lack of a sufficient transportation system. Since the start of the school year, I have been waiting for communication from the transportation department and have been forced to drive my child to school daily, which has significantly impacted my work schedule. The suggestion that I should pay for a private bus service is simply unacceptable, especially when my daughter is only 13 years old and should not be expected to walk unsafely on busy roads. Additionally, the recent removal of numerous teachers has led to a troubling student-to-teacher ratio, where doubling the classes for a single teacher is viewed as a solution. This approach undermines the quality of education, leaving our children ill-equipped to learn in such an environment. My daughter, a consistently honor-roll student in advanced placement classes, is now significantly limited in her educational opportunities since Clifton Middle School does not offer this program, and has even faced bullying from adults rather than her peers. I am appalled by a specific interaction where a teacher informed my daughter that she wouldn’t want my daughter to be placed in her advanced placement classes if it were an option, due to concerns about the teacher’s performance metrics. Such attitudes are not conducive to fostering a supportive educational environment. In light of these ongoing issues, I am actively seeking a job transfer to facilitate my daughter’s removal from HISD as soon as possible. I urge you to address these concerns with the urgency they deserve. The current state of affairs is simply unacceptable for both students and parents relying on the district to provide a safe and effective educational experience. Thank you for your attention to these serious matters. I hope to see swift action taken to improve our educational environment”
