Cec Facilities Group, Llc
Electrician · Irving, TX
About
Cec Facilities Group Llc works as electricians from their base in Irving Texas. This Dallas based specialty contractor takes on electrical projects across the nation with a focus on installations for industrial manufacturing sites mission critical facilities and corporate offices. They run an apprenticeship program to train workers and handle everything from underground cable placement to medium voltage distribution setups such as the 219 miles of cable and 200MW equipment installed for the Ponderosa Wind Turbine project. Their approach covers design build services and work in renewable energy and infrastructure sectors where local weather and large scale builds create steady demand for reliable power systems.
They perform electrical construction maintenance and repair calls around the clock along with prefabrication to control material costs on bigger jobs. Specific work includes running lines on streets as seen in Socorro New Mexico projects where crews handled underground placement terminations and substation connections but ran into issues hitting water and sewage lines that flooded yards and backed up toilets in multiple homes. Customers like Robert Brobst have dealt with invoicing for services that never happened and spent months sorting errors through accounting while others reported front desk hold times that cut off at closing without callbacks. These details show how the company manages service and repair work but often faces complications in execution on both commercial and residential electrical tasks.
Customers have noted repeated shortfalls in communication such as long hold times during calls and slow responses from management on billing disputes that drag on for months. Quality issues stand out from incidents where line installations damaged other utilities and caused property damage while speed and price feedback remains limited due to unresolved errors and disconnected service. The overall pattern points to challenges after rapid growth that affected field coordination and customer follow through in the electrician trade. DIRT Score 3.2 from 50 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Such a terrible experience with this company. They lady in the front just put me on hold - I held for 5-10 minutes and at exactly 5pm it was disconnected. I called back and they were closed - how convenient! This is the same run around I got 2 years ago when our systems were installed and started having problems very soon after. They were horrible to work with 2 years ago, and nothing has changed. System has had issues ever since they were installed. I only called today to get information on the system itself for another company, and of course, nothing. I would NOT recommend this company and I never do reviews - but wanted those to steer clear.”
“Management and accounting processes need to be improved. We were wrongly invoiced / billed for a service that did not occur in our office. After the error was pointed out, it took MONTHS of trying to communicate with the accounting department to correct the clear billing error. Finally, when a decision maker was found at the company’s, a refund check was ultimately produced. I assume that this is an uncommon occurrence, but the company should look into why this happened to avoid future unhappy customers”
“While they were installing lines on our street, in Socorro nm, our yard was flooded with sewage. We were told by a city worker that CEC had hit a water line and a sewage line. I talked to several people around the neighborhood that said their toilet, and showers/tubs were flooded as well. Another person said that this problem was happening all over town. Ever since they started work, a month ago, our toilet hasn't been able to flush regardless of us using liquid fire or other alternatives to unplug it. I've had other people tell me the same thing.”
“Used to be a great company, they got too big too fast and lost the "famly" and "loyalty" they once showed thier hard working team members. The owner is a good man but too disconnected from the field employees and is being led to believe things that are not true. The light of truth will shine bright and regret will follow.”
“Every PM or scheduled visit resulted in work and problems with my HVAC which allegedly showed up when their tech did. Items and systems in good working condition were left damaged or broken at the hands of their “repair” team. I would steer clear of these folks for any HVAC work.”
