About

Jay Electric Fulshear runs electrical work out of Katy, TX. Enoc handles the outfit and takes on residential and commercial jobs that cover troubleshooting problems, putting in new fixtures, running wiring, and swapping panels or breakers. Reviews mention his son and crew members like Angel Rivas and Mr Garcia showing up for the same type of tasks. The business keeps standard hours with the shop open Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 6 and Saturday from 8 to 4 while closed on Sunday.

Customers call about shorts that melt wire blocks on control panels, breakers that trip repeatedly, outlets with no power, and panel replacements in garages. Crews fix those by correcting wiring, upsizing breakers, adding ground wires, removing old ceiling fans, and installing LED lights or new outlets where none existed before. Some jobs involve light fixture installs in dining rooms or garage remodels, while others fix capacity issues or handle small tasks like hanging a TV. A few reviews note problems such as an oven door left loose or extra charges added after the fact.

The crew answers calls fast, with one team arriving 35 minutes after an evening request and another responding in 20 minutes on a Saturday. They show up on time for most appointments, send two technicians for multiple small jobs, and provide written analysis the next day when asked. Pricing comes up as reasonable or lower than expected in several accounts, though a handful of customers say the final bill ran higher than quoted. Work stays in the Fulshear and Katy area with same-day service available on weekdays.

Reviews split between praise for quick fixes and solid panel work and complaints over billing changes or missed appointments. Recurring points cover prompt arrivals, price fairness, and the quality of wiring repairs. DIRT Score 3.8 from reviews on Finds.

“AVOID. Also creates duplicate profiles. Does not stand behind their work. I'm a landlord that has used Jay Electric on a few jobs. Contractors do the work, I get pictures, and they get paid. Simple. However, on one job, our tenants reported that the oven glass door broke. We dispatched our property manager who informed maintenance. The discovery was that the electrician failed to screw in the glass front of the oven, the tenant used the oven and when it closed the glass shattered. I've also been informed the handle is messed up. The tenant is a professional husband and wife and baby, not the kind of people who mess around with oven glass brackets. At first, we assumed it may have been caused by the appliance company replacing the countertop range, however this was ruled out after detailed discussions regarding what they did. They did not dissassemble or pull the oven out as Jay Electric had- the tenant witnessed both technicians, and was able to provide a video and photo showing a complete removal of the oven. Removal of the oven is not the problem- removal of the screws securing the glass and not replacing the glass causing it to be loose was the problem. Lack of attention to d”

“Highly recommend Jay Electric. I called at 8:45pm for an urgent matter and they show up at 9:20pm (a team of two people). They were able to help us resolve the problem. Thank you Jay Electric!”

“Very pleased with response and service. On Friday we had an electrical short that melted the wire block on a tot tub control panel. Called for service Saturday morning and he responded back in 20 minutes, arrived early and corrected the wiring problem, additionally he noticed that the several breakers were incorrect sizing. We highly recommend this company.”

“The technicians were amazing, professional, arrived early to the appointment, quick & efficient. The work done by them gave me great confidence in this company. The owner made this an absolute nightmare. I’ve worked with a number of electricians over the years and only used this company due to their quoted price and availability because my preferred company was unavailable for this emergency. Worst mistake ever. The owner Enoc lied about the cost when I scheduled service and then changed the price upon completion because “I should’ve explained differently” what I needed from his services (as if I’m an electrician). We sat on the phone and I expressed how disheartened I was at this change since it was of no fault of my own that there was misunderstanding of my service request, to which his response was “Well you should’ve called so that I could have explained properly” though scheduling ONLY took place over the phone. He was firm on what his business protocol was in this instance, but could not produce to the same standard. He stopped taking my calls after payment was made and the only time the phone was answered, he responded shortly and hung up in my face. He made it very clear th”

“Second time we've used them for electrical service. Fantastic work and professionalism is on another level. Family run business that will treat you the same. VERY fair prices for having our box replaced, new ground wire, ceiling fan removal, LED light install, and eliminating random switches. We'll use them forever!”

“Finally, an electric company with great moral and honesty. Jay electric was prompt, gave excellent recommendation on how to install a light where there was no electrical outlet. I love my new outlet, light and Sheetrock work. The job looks professional and my light is awesome. I will definitely keep jay electric in mind as my electric needs provider. Thank you Jay electric!😀”

“A few weeks ago, I scheduled a appointment for an estimate of a electrical panel replacement with Jay’s Electric. The technician said that the cost of the estimate would be deducted from the original bill after service. While they did the job, they never honored that deal and explained to me that if it was a bigger company they would charge me much more. This is bad business and dishonest! Also at the time of service they recommended that I install a surge protector which I agreed, I paid for this in cash and requested an invoice for appraisal purpose of my house later. I called the owner of Jay’s electric several times for the mentioned two points above, and they never honored what they had promise nor provided the invoice for the additional surge protector installation, I suspect they pocketed the money without declaring it to the IRS and that’s likely why they didn’t want to provide it. Additional, after the electrical panel installation they wanted to leave without completing the labeling of each breaker to each area, I requested that they needed to finish the job, then he said he ran out of labels and had me write by hand on each breaker label. I am not sure that Jay’s electri”

“They were the contractor hired by my home warranty to fix 3 electrical outlets supplying no power in a condo I'd recently purchased. They assessed the problem and unfortunately it was an issue not covered by my home warranty provider (the cause of the problem originated in wiring located in the wall common between me and my neighbor's adjoining condo). BUT.... I emailed Jay Electric requesting them to send me their analysis in writing and the very next day they did just that. And this document was just what I needed to get my HOA to fix the problem. Well done and much appreciated.”

“I have used Jay Electric (Enoc) for many years at my previous home. They were always very responsive and economical. I called them out the other day because I had a 15amp breaker constantly tripping. He told me the reason and I told him to replace the 2 breakers. While I was talking to him, his assistant was changing the breakers. Total time they were here was about 20 minutes. To replace 2 breakers was less than 10 minutes. When I asked him how much, he told me $275. I asked him why so much and his response was that there service call was $195 and the rest for the 2 breakers. I truly believe that that is way to much. I wrote him a check and received no invoice. Apparently, Enoc does not own the company anymore. I will not use Jay Electric anymore.”

“I contacted Jay’s electric based on other reviews. We had several small jobs. They sent two guys to our home. They were professional and did a great job for a fair price. I would happily recommend them.”

Brandy Loughrie-Moore

“Jay Electric has only impressed me and my customers. I’m in the construction industry and recommend Jay Electric every time I hear of issues with other electrical contractors I give them my contact information. On time, on schedule and great follow up when needed.”

“Mr Garcia and his team are very professional and easy to work with. They were prompt, flexible on design discussions, and did a thorough and complete job of my garage remodel. I will use them again in the future.”

“Buyer beware! They will scam you. Owner took advantage of us by saying they could fix our power capacity issue. They made us pay 10k to add 2 new panels. One panel swapped and 1 new separate panel. However, instead of adding the new panel they daisy chained it to the closest panel giving the illusion of more capacity when actually creating a hazard that could blow the entire system. Our building was built 30 years ago and needed more power capacity to the building. They say no problem we will fix the issue by adding these panels. Halfway through the job, they tell us that unless we upgrade the outside panel all of the work and panels they installed inside will not fix our capacity problem. Over 10k paid to them with only about 5k of works actually done. Owner was rude and disrespectful when confronted about the deceptive business practices and refuses to return any of the money spent on the incomplete work (but insists I now have to give him a credit card before he will continue work and finish the job) I will be taking my business elsewhere.”

“I can finally say I have an electrician. In the past I’d call whatever company could come out the soonest when I needed an electrician. Now the whole family knows... call J Electric. They’re very responsive, fast appointments and THEY SHOW UP ON TIME... EVERY-TIME... no 4 hour window for me to wait around the house. I trust them so much, I even asked them to hang a tv on the wall for me, AWESOME!”

Carla McCray

“Same day service and they installed / repaired and corrected every problem I had both inside and out. Super competent crew with a professional approach and a great attitude. I already have a new project picked out for them to come back and do next week. Highly recommended.”

Steve Baker

“I called Jay’s Electric about a problem with my breaker box and scheduled an appointment for today between 8:00am and 10:00am. They were a “No Show” without even a phone call. When I called at 10:45am regarding their tardiness, I was told that he couldn’t find my address and he got busy with emails......REALLY??? How unprofessional to waste my time. Now I’m having Mister Sparky replace my breaker box for $4000 and Jay’s will never get my business!!!”

Carol Grajewski

“Enoc, his son and the electrical crew did a fantastic job replacing our panel in the garage. The reason for not giving 5 stars is one of his employees, Angel Rivas (Antonio), scammed me out of $$$. My fault for prepaying too much, his fault for dishonesty. Not only did he "disappear" but it was obvious from the little he did that he lacked the skill to do the work. This was on company time and in the company vehicle. Beware!!”
