“I always do my homework before I start a project as important as getting an emergency power generator for the house. I wanted the right people, the right options and the best support. Texas Power and Controls was, by far, the best choice for us. We chose a Kohler 26Kw that would allow us to run all electrical units in our 2800 sqft house. We have been through a few short power outages in the two years since the installation was completed. The power from the Kohler came on immediately and all the neighbors called to ask how we were the ones with lights on! We have WIFI connection to the Kohler that updates us on status and bi-weekly testing. The annual maintenance done by Texas Power and Controls is top notch. We have no doubt that this unit is of high quality and will supply us power for years to come as well as being a great selling point once we decide it is time to move. Tom and Janis”

“Texas power and control installed my Generac generator. From the first conversation we had about the upcoming install to completion of my generator. I received top-notch customer service. I was kept informed of everything that was going on and how the process of the generator being installed was going. They also showed us how to manually start up the generator and all the ins and out of the unit. They also registered our generator with Generac so I didn’t have to. This company is honest, great with communication, and I highly recommend their work.”

“Stay with me through this whole review and you will hopefully see why that in spite of a couple of significant issues on this job that I have given them a five star review. Many times the measure of a company is not just in how they perform when everything works right but when problems arise. It is in how you deal with problems that your values and integrity can clearly be seen. But let me start at the beginning: We had Bryce come to our place near Barksdale Texas and work up an estimate for us in the fourth quarter of 2024. It was not until the 3rd quarter of 2025 that I decided to move forward with the project of installing a backup generator on two of our houses on our ranch. I contacted Bryce and he explained our options and we decided on a plan. They sent an installation team to start the installation process on the two generators, propane tank, and related items. So far so good. The team was professional, worked hard, and completed the first phase of the installation. Before they left, they needed to turn the electricity back on to both of the houses. Unfortunately, they forgot to turn it back on to one of the houses. Since these are vacation homes we did not discover the issue for over a week. All the food in the refrigerator and freezer spoiled and ruined the appliance. We attempted to clean and remove the smell but were unsuccessful. When I contacted Bryce about it, he responded that he owed us a new refrigerator. He also offered to reimburse for lost food items but I told him that wasn't necessary. He gave me a credit for the lost food on my final bill on the project anyway! When they came to complete the installation and commission the generators they brought my new refrigerator. The guys that came to complete the project were again hard workers and professional. The project took all day but everything was completed and in good working order. It was dark when they were leaving. Then comes another issue, as they are leaving one of the vehicles hits my ranch gate and severally damages it and the related electronic arm. They immediately call me and let me know. They say someone will be in touch with me the next day about the issue. First thing the next morning, I get a call and they indicate that they will send a gate repair company to fix my gate. We work out a time and everything was fixed in a timely and professional manner. In summary, the work was completed timely, professional, and at the agreed upon price. I was impressed by these things. But where they really differentiated themselves was in how they handled difficult issues when they arose. Dr. Henry Cloud defines integrity as the courage to meet the demands of a situation. These gentlemen showed great integrity in how they took care of us.”

“The guys at TPC are professional, dependable, and priced fairly given the high quality of their work. I appreciated that they were willing to work with me on a different brand of generator, outside of their standard offering. Due to lead time issues on my choice, I ended up going with their Kohler 20kw model instead, and ended up with a nice clean installation.
