About
Royce Electric Inc works as electricians based in Harker Heights, Texas. They take on residential electrical jobs across the area and handle the wiring and fixture needs that come up in local homes. The company has performed multiple tasks at the same properties over time, showing they stay involved with ongoing maintenance and upgrades rather than one-off calls. Homeowners in central Texas often face issues with aging wiring and weather exposure that affect outdoor setups, and this crew steps in for those practical fixes.
They install ceiling fans both inside and out, run new 240 volt outlets, move kitchen lights to better spots, pair multiple outdoor fans to a single controller, tighten loose fixtures, and replace older ceiling units. Danny shows up for many of these jobs and gets the outlets working cleanly while keeping the work areas neat. Customers note the jobs finish quicker than expected on some visits, though the shop sometimes books out weeks ahead when new requests come in. The crew focuses on getting power where it needs to go without extra steps that drag out the process.
Feedback splits on how the work holds up after the truck leaves. Some homeowners praise Danny for clean installs on outlets and fan controls along with quick fixes to loose lights that stayed solid. Others mention delays in scheduling, rude responses on follow-up calls, and panel labels that are hard to read when problems arise later. The mixed results on speed, communication, and quality checks add up to the current rating. DIRT Score 2.64 from 32 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“It saddens me to write this review because they have done a lot of work on my house. This last time, I had a ceiling fan installed. I called Royce to ask if they can install another fan for me. He told me that they were 45-60 days out. I decided to call another electrician to have them come out to do it. Before the other company came out, I noticed the fan being wobbly and emitting some type of smoke. Fast forward. The other electrician company comes out and goes into my attic and told me that he has to fix the fan that Royce did because it’s not up to code and that the wires should not be exposed because it’s a fire hazard. He said it wasn’t stable and it could fall at any time due to a box not being around it. . I was floored. I called Royce and asked what could be done about this. The owner had the audacity to tell me that he is not going to do anything about it because how does he know that the new electrical company didn’t come out and mess up everything just to make money. Then he proceeds to say that he has been in business 50 something years and he has seen all type of stuff. I don’t care how long you have been in business you’re not the one who did the work one of your guys did. But to say that he is not going to do anything about it is ridiculous and to excuse the other company is even more ridiculous. I have pictures in my phone that was sent to me by the new electrical company to back up what I’m saying. I paid Royce $175 to do substandard work. Then I had to pay the new guys $400 plus to fix everything. I do plan to pursue them in small claims court asap. Oh and they only accept cash so go figure.”
“Danny is a rockstar. Very professional, respectful & fast. Had a 240 volt outlet installed and it looks/performs amazing. Great work & good people. Only con is they need digital payment methods.”
“The people are rude. The electrical panel I cannot read the writing that the person wrote it. It is not legible and when I ask them to come out, they said that they were charged $200 for work that they did. They don’t inspect our work and I would stay away from this company”
“The tech Danny has made my week! Moved my kitchen light today and was very pleasent and professional. Great work and quick. He has also done many other jobs throughout the home like installating outdoor ceiling fans and pairing them to one controller, fixing loose light fixtures, and replacing ceiling fan in master. Excited to have my light fixture centered to my table. Thank you, Danny!!!”
“If I could give them a no star it would be better. Now I just purchased my house over a year ago. I listed everything that was wrong especially the electric. The breaker box keeps tripping for no reason. I experienced a problem with me internet last year. I called the cable guy just to find out the outlet that was wired and installed outside was getting watered in it so it caused the outlet to trip. Everytime it rains I have to walk outside to reset the outlet. So today it rains as usual I go outside to reset the outlet and now it’s constantly blink. I go to unplug the power supply and the whole damn box comes undone. Lord and behind when I try to rescew the screws in the box I can’t why because it has no threads to hold the screw in. The whole box is off and the outlet needs to be replaced because water has gotten in it constantly. So I check the other outside outlets and they’re loose as well. Even some of the other outlets in my house you can’t plug anything in because they won’t allow you to. Since I’ve purchased this house I’ve had nothing but issues with the electrical and plumbing. I’m going to have to find someone to review the entire wiring and electrical outlets to ensure my house doesn’t have a chance of burning down.”
