SKS Construction Services, Inc

SKS Construction Services, Inc operates as electricians based in Lake Havasu City, TX. The company traces its start to 1987 when Sol K Shaolian launched it in Los Angeles as a full service design engineering and construction outfit. Their work covers electrical tasks alongside broader building projects including panel upgrades and structural fixes. Homeowners in this Texas spot deal with intense desert heat that strains wiring and equipment so having a crew that knows local conditions helps keep systems running without constant breakdowns. They focus on practical electrical repairs and installs rather than fancy extras.

Electricians from this outfit handle jobs like electrical panel upgrades on older homes plus wiring for additions and remodels. In Lake Havasu City the dry heat and occasional high winds push systems hard so common calls involve fixing overloaded panels that trip during summer peaks or running new lines for pool pumps and air conditioning units. Crews show up with the right tools to trace faults in dusty attics or crawl spaces then get power restored without dragging out the process. They also manage bigger electrical needs during home builds or earthquake retrofits adapted to local soil and weather patterns that can affect outdoor connections.

Homeowners here count on electricians who arrive fast when lights go out from overloads and finish with clean solid work that holds up in the heat. Fair pricing on panel jobs and steady updates during the job keep things moving without surprises while quality shows in fewer callbacks after fixes. Speed and clear talk on what needs doing stand out in a city where power issues hit hard during peak seasons. DIRT Score 4.23 from 17 reviews on Finds.

“Top Notch Service! We worked with SKS Retrofitting on a soft-story seismic retrofit project in the South LA area and had an excellent experience. Their team was professional, organized, and clearly well-versed. They communicated clearly throughout the project, coordinated well with engineering and inspections, and made a strong effort to minimize disruption to tenants. The job site was kept orderly, and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. If you’re a property owner or manager looking for a knowledgeable and reliable team to handle seismic retrofit or any other larger scale projects, SKS wont let you down.”

“Hired SKS Construction to do an Earthquake Seismic Retrofit on my 6 unit apartment building in the Miracle Mile area. I got the initial bid just before the Pandemic but could not start work until June 17, 2022. SKS Construction stood by their original pricing. They did a fantastic job ! Started the job and continually worked each day until completed and signed off the the City of L.A. The Armen, the job foreman, has great communication skills and we communicated frequently so that I could keep my tenants informed since they could not park on site from 8am to 5pm daily during the construction. When there was an off day of no work (waiting for City of L.A. Inspection) Armen would let me know so I could let my tenants know they could park on site at those times. Maibel an office Admini”

“We hired SKS Construction for our mandatory SB326 repairs and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, they were professional, collaborative, and solution-oriented. Our project manager, Simon, stood out for his exceptional communication and his ability to navigate scheduling and coordination with residents—including those who could be a bit challenging. As is typical with major construction, a few surprises came up along the way. SKS approached each one with transparency and worked closely with us to find solutions that stayed within our budget. We were especially impressed by the pride they took in their work—they went above and beyond by taking care of small adjacent repairs without being asked, such as patching and painting cracked stucco and power washing th”

“The team at SKS worked on my apartment building of 44 units so it would be in compliance with SB 721 and they did an excellent job. They were clear with what needed to be addressed and gave me multiple solutions for each area that needed attention. Their workers were professional with both my building and the tenants that resided in it, both respecting their personal spaces and keeping working areas clean and well maintained. I now have confidence that my building balconies are up to date and safe for many years to come. I highly recommend SKS and look forward to doing business with them in the future.”

“Had a very positive experience with SKS rebuilding a series of balconies for an apartment complex. The team was timely, responsive, thorough, and very professional. Shahab was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Our project manager Simon was great to work with and made my job coordinating with our tenants easier. Based on my very positive experience with the team, we have decided to work with them on our next earthquake retrofit. Have now also worked with them on a seismic retrofit and again it was such a seamless, stress-free process. They handled it so efficiently and professionally, and were very accommodating to our residents. Looking forward to working together on future work!”

“We've hired SKS Construction to perform SB326 inspection on some of the properties we manage. They are very communicative, offers competitive pricing (if not cheaper), quality of work is top notched too. Overall Shahab and SKS Team is a pleasure to work with and we would hire time for future projects.”

“We’re a small, apartment-style HOA and hired SKS Construction for siding repair and painting—and we’re so glad we did. From start to finish, they were professional, communicative, and clearly committed to doing the job right. Simon, our project manager, was responsive, organized, and always on top of things. He worked closely with us to stay within budget while ensuring quality wasn’t compromised. Brian, who led the painting crew, was equally impressive—he’s the kind of professional who genuinely takes pride in his work. He even returned for tiny touch-ups that most contractors wouldn’t have bothered with, just to make sure everything looked perfect. We’ll absolutely be working with SKS again on future projects and highly recommend them to other HOAs or homeowners looking for reliable, h”

“We hired SKS for my family’s home in Beverly Hills for an ADU and home addition. We added additional square footage in the main house and an extra unit in the backyard. I could not be happier with our choice. When doing a remodel it can be so stressful but SKS handled everything from start to finish. From planning options, design, and construction, they did it all efficiently and affordably. The entire team was amazing and had so much patience walking us through the process. Big thank you to Sam, Shahab, Paul and the rest of the SKS team!”

“We selected SKS as our contractor for a seismic retrofit of our apartment building in Santa Monica. They were efficient and courteous to us as owners, and also to our tenants. Their schedule and workmanship exceeded our expectations, and their were no additional costs - everything ran exactly as they said it would. I recommend SKS to anyone needing to complete a retrofit. A+++”

“I oversee a property management company and we have engaged SKS Construction on balcony inspections (per SB 721 and SB 326) on 20+ properties. I give them a 10/10 on communication, report detail, price and overall efficiency. I have used other companies for this work and decided to exclusively use SKS for the remainder of our needs, which turned out to be about 90% of our portfolio. Simon and Shahab are extremely knowledgably industry professionals and I would recommend them both. Hands down A+ work.”
