“I am so happy with the service Peg Energy has provided at my home. Their excellent customer service made me feel comfortable in moving forward with solar panels. “Their response is totally incorrect and they were provided with the necessary information regarding city inspections on September 9th. The charger was installed Sept 23rd and PEG was provided with the city’s Waiver for Inspection to AEP. And I would like to see the installers proof of certification! This has been a very challenging and frustrating experience. There is very little communication w PEG. Calls and messages are not returned. The crew that showed up to install my EV charger were not licensed electricians. They did not turn on the power to my charger. There was a language barrier which led them having to their supervisor to answer our questions. The individual on the phone was not familiar with the next steps. Instead of having a licensed electrician on site to inspect the installation I now have to wait another week before having the power to the EV charger. “I signed a contract with PEG in May 2023 to install 20 solar panels on my brand new home in San Antonio. My experience has been nothing short of atrocious. Their crew damaged my metal roof, gutters, and almost all of the solar panels while working the install. They dragged all of the panels (sun-side-down) up a ladder to get them on the roof, and then dragged them across the roof, leaving very visible scratches on both the panels and my roof. At the same time, their lackadaisical ladder placement left significant scratches and indentations on my gutters. The attached pictures show the scratches on the roof, the partially-completed nature of the job, and the scratching done to the solar panels. PEG acknowledged the damage but thus far has done little to fix it other than remove the damaged solar panels with an expectation of finishing the job at some point. They have thus far refused to allow me to simply exit the contract and receive a refund. They have been somewhat responsive to my communications, but progress has been very slow and I can never get a clear answer about what exactly they are going to do to resolve the situation. Financially, they have received over $11,000 from me for a job that I'm not sure will ever be completed. They've done over $20,000 in damage to my (otherwise) brand new metal roof. I've already replaced the damaged gutters on my own. Three and a half months into a job that should have taken less than a month, and I'm out $30,000+. Do not use this company.”
