About
People's Choice Solar, Llc works out of Mcallen, TX as electricians who put solar power systems on homes. They focus on installs that tie new panels into the existing electrical setup and add battery storage for backup power. Local homeowners face long hot summers and high utility costs, so these crews build systems meant to cut those bills while keeping the lights on when storms hit the grid. The work covers everything from initial setup to sorting out any electrical hiccups that come up later.
They handle solar panel placement and get the inverters and connections running so the system feeds power back to the house right away. Technicians like Dylan and Maximo walk customers through the process in plain terms and handle the sales side without dragging things out. When one panel quit working on a job, they returned and repaired it so the full array produced again. They also reset tripped breakers during outages and showed owners how to check the system themselves. Tesla battery installs get added so power stays steady when the main lines go down, and bills drop as the panels take over more of the load.
Customers stick with them because the systems run steady for years with few callbacks and the pricing stays reasonable for what gets installed. Speed shows up when a breaker or panel needs attention, with crews arriving quick to sort it. Quality holds in the way the panels and batteries keep performing without constant tweaks. Communication stays direct, with clear answers on how things work and what to expect next. DIRT Score 4.94 from 132 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“So far everything's been great with the solar panels and I've had them for almost two years now. Haven't had any issues at all. No problems with installation and the sales reps Dylan & Maximo who helped me have been very direct and professional. I'm paying much less now with the panels compared to what I used to pay with the electricity. Haven't had to pay anything in electricity and I've actually accumulated more than $500 in credits. I recommend going solar with these two and the peoples choice solar”
“UPDATE MARCH 13, 2026; The company contacted me regarding all the issues and they are NOT involved in the financial aspect (hence that’s not their fault). They promised to fix the minor issue with the single non working panel which they have done (all my panels are now working and I have no complaints against them and or their service hence I am updating my review to 5 stars. The repair was 100% free, I didn’t pay a dime. I was offered compensation but i declined because they did nothing wrong and my actions here are not monetary induced (or influenced by anyone or anything). Thanks guys for a good job done and for your patience. Gracias!! UPDATE; FEBRUARY 16, 2026; 1 of my Solar panels have NOT been working and I have contacted the mgr through whom I got this deal and have got SILENCE. As you can understand, I am very upset and now ACTIVELY looking at cancelling my Solar contract with them and get free from this mess. As you can understand, I am VERY UPSET with this mess. I am a very laid back and chill person, I am NOT a difficult customer. I can present docs and other evidences to prove that I am not telling lies. Disappointed! I NEVER heard of this company before, until they showed up at my house and I spoke with a lady who then introduced me to Mr. Clemente and I signed up. As a renewables Engineer myself, I appreciate the details (sounded impossible considering how good it is). They installed it very fast and it’s unbelievably good! Definitely a v good decision especially since they dealt with my HOA (I disgust the HOA). All their personnel’s were v friendly, patient and answered my every questions. I have attached some pics UPDATE; I will STRONGLY advise you use caution in dealing with them. My monthly mortgage payments got increased by over $1,000 and I am doing a refinance that will bring my monthly payment to under $2,200. I paid for services for the refinance and everything went well until the refinance company asked me to request the solar company to agree to a subordination (that is the solar company takes 2nd place and the refinance mortgage company takes 1st place, I offered for the solar company to please do me this favor and after the refinance, they can go back to 1st because ALL my loans are up to date and I am making all payments, all current but the solar company REFUSED!!!!). Now, my refinance will fail (all invested money waste) and I am now stocked with a monthly mortgage payment of $3,000 all because these guys refused a very simple favor. I strongly advise you be careful with them because you may find yourself in the position I now find myself. Yes I am not happy with them at all and if I am to advise you, I will say DO NOT do business with them at all for your own good! I respect your right to make your decisions and whatever you choose, I respect but my heart is clean because I told you the truth. Thanks”
“I have had great response to questions and concerns but most of all my electricity went out and I didn’t know what to do or check with for the issue , I was given a phone number for AEP called and within 45 minutes they were here. The breaker booted out, and they fixed it ASP, and I was taught how to check if working. Excellent quick response and assistance. My electric bill has been $0”
“Everything seems to be going well. Reduced electric bill and the Tesla batteries kick.in when the power goes out. Dylan has been very helpful through the whole process.”
“Adi & Emanuel, where so nice & understanding, explained everything step by step, helped me eliminate my 260+ electricity bill, now I get negative bills & only pay 110 every month for the solar. Honestly Great Help would definitely recommend it!! Huge life savers financially 😊”
