Electrician · Meridian, TX
About
Wallace Controls And Electric Inc. operates as an electrician outfit right in Meridian, Texas. They handle electrical work for homes and construction sites around that area, showing up for both new builds and fixes on existing wiring. The crew focuses on getting power hooked up properly in kitchens and other spots where outlets and lighting need attention. Local homeowners and builders turn to them when circuits act up or when a project calls for running new lines through walls and ceilings. Their base in Meridian puts them close to the jobs that come up in that part of the state, where older homes often need updates to meet current demands.
They take on tasks like rewiring entire kitchens that include four can lights along with eight standard 120 volt outlets and one 220 volt outlet. In one case they got the boxes set and original wiring pulled before the job stalled. Another job involved installing a vent hood where the right cord was missing at the start. On a different call they diagnosed a house electrical issue on the spot, made the repair, and wrapped the whole thing in under an hour. Builders have brought them in for full electrical phases on projects like the one at RK Central Construction, where the work fit into the larger timeline without extra delays once the team stayed on site.
Customers note the crew can move fast and stay professional when they arrive ready for the day, which helps on quick diagnostic visits and build work that needs steady progress. Some jobs show solid quality once the wiring gets completed, and communication works fine during active phases of the project. The mixed results come from times when follow up slowed down after initial steps, yet the positive notes center on reliability for smaller repairs and new construction support. What Customers Say
“Wallace Electric has been fantastic to work with on our most recent build project at RK Central Construction! Definitely recommend them!”
“Not a great experience with this group. We called them to rewire our kitchen, 4 can lights, 8 120v outlets and a 220v outlet in total. They came out in a couple of weeks and started the work, disconnecting the original wiring, and setting the plug boxes. Then I didn’t hear from them for a six weeks. When I called back they said they were really busy, but would come back. I was told the work would be “overtime”. The two workers ran the wire to the panel, but didn’t hook anything up and said they would be back. TWO months later, after multiple calls, two new guys came. They said everything the first guys did was wrong, and it would take two days to fix. Once again, they said it would be “overtime” to do the job (the job this group started months before). What I ended up with was a total disaster. When all was finished, the charged me $8700 for wiring 9 plugs, 4 can lights, and installing 3 new breakers I was left with outlets that didn’t work, half the lights didnt work, the breakers were two pole not designed for the slots in my panel but they “made them work”. They left an exposed 220v lug in my attic, and overshot the 220v wire run by 30ft but still had to splice it? Then there’s the rats nest of wiring. I shared all this with owner, who said he had problems with that crew and would make it right. We are now six weeks since that conversation and not a word from them.”
“Terrible service. Made appt. Called 3 weeks later because they "forgot" about me. Told them needed vent a hood installed, and that an electric cord was needed. Guy showed up with no electric cord and told me he could go get but i would have to pay him overtime. Electric cord is orange and doesn't match stainless steel vent a hood. When he put up vent a hood he put it up crooked and out of place and one of the screws he drilled in missed, so it wasn't holding it up in place. After he left, i un-screwed it, pushed into place and screwed back in. Why am i paying for me to go behind your worker and do the job myself? No follow-up call either.”
“On time and professional as they get. Came to diagnose electrical problem at my house and found it fixed it and was out with in an hour great company highly recommend 👌 👍 😊”
“I called Wallace Electric on a Tuesday and they were at my house the next day for a consultation. The employee (William) was kind and clearly knew what he was doing. Also, you could tell he was trying to offer solutions that would save us money. And the entire consultation was free. I would highly recommend them.”
