About
Entex Electrical Services Llc works as electricians based in Ennis, Texas. They focus on residential electrical needs for local homeowners, often dealing with homes that have seen many years of use. Their team handles updates and fixes that keep electrical systems running right without unnecessary complications. In a place like Ennis, common issues include aging panels and hidden wiring problems that surface over time in houses from the 1960s and earlier. Homeowners turn to them when panels need full replacement or when basic lighting upgrades become necessary to maintain safety and daily function around the property.
Electricians from Entex have replaced panels on 1961 homes, including work by Matt to swap out the ground wire and secure the feed to the house so everything tested safe again. They have also installed recessed lighting in multiple rooms plus added switches on smaller projects without running up big bills. One crew arrived early and traced a smoke detector fault that dated back to the original build, then located a buried electrical box behind drywall and corrected the whole setup in under an hour. These jobs show they handle both straightforward installs and the kind of troubleshooting that comes from older construction in the area.
Customers keep pointing to on-time arrivals, quick diagnosis of problems, and fair charges that do not inflate for the work performed. Reviews highlight honest dealings on panel jobs and lighting additions along with professional handling that leaves systems reliable afterward. Speed and price stand out as steady strengths across the feedback, even when results vary on other points. DIRT Score 3.7 from 41 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Matt did an amazing job on my panel replacement. Not only did he have to replace the ground wire and secure the feed to the house so as to make it safe once again on my 1961 home. He went above and beyond and didn't take me to the cleaners doing it either! If you want honest reliable service at a fair price look no further than this man!”
“This is not a good company, everything is smoke and mirrors. Do not go to Farmerville High School! The superintendent constantly barrages you with racial, degrading comments. Continually loses his cool to the point throwing things and verbal abuse, talks bad about your family just based on the color of your skin. The Project manager will only listen with a closed ear and HE’S SECOND IN CHARGE!!!!!! This guy is a walking lawsuit! BE AWARE!”
“It's been a few years now, but in 2008 we had the Intex folks out to install some recessed lighting in a couple of rooms and add some additional switches. Not a big project at all, however, they came out and were very professional and did not charge us an arm and leg for the service. We've recommend them now for years. I just did it again today and that's what prompted to me to write the post.”
“Intex arrived on time (early in fact), and rapidly identified the cause of a smoke detector issue that had been present since the house was built (based on what was observed). They corrected the issue in less than an hour (uncovered an electrical box that had been drywalled over, and installed an AC powered smoke detector). They were fast, punctual, and professional. We would highly recommend them. Edit 9/2019 Used Intex again for installation of electrical outlets on a deck and service to run an above ground pool pump. This install was complicated by the gentleman who quoted the job leaving Intex. I firmly believe it is not when things go well that you find out the character of a person or company, but when things don't go smoothly or worse. Despite the loss of the specific details of the quote through the loss of their employee, and a few minor complications (on both sides to be fair), Intex performed the job well, and stood by the commitments made by their former colleague. Intex's performance on this job has solidified them as my go-to choice for electrical work and the company who I will recommend to others for electrical work. Thanks for a solid job Intex!”
“These guys are horrible. Two of them came to my house. They spent a few hours and could not fix the issue with the breakers tripping. Finally they said to contact another electrician because they have no idea what the problem is. I was billed $600 for a useless few hours! Just terrible!!”
