Electrician · Mesquite, TX
About
Gushi General Services operates as electricians based in Mesquite Texas. They take on residential electrical work across the greater Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and focus on repairs plus installations that keep homes running safely. Technicians show up for jobs involving panels outlets and lighting after homeowners notice problems that need quick attention. The outfit stresses licensed workers who pass background checks and handle calls around the clock when issues come up in kitchens bathrooms or outdoor areas. Local properties often need help with older wiring that no longer meets current standards so the crew steps in to sort those out before bigger trouble starts.
Customers bring them in for ceiling fan installs whole home generator setups and panel replacements when existing systems fail or need upgrades. One homeowner called after DIY wiring additions caused repeated flooding in a sunroom during storms and the crew addressed the electrical side during a larger remodel. Another job involved fixing problems that showed up before a property closing but the work left issues unresolved and led to follow up calls that went unanswered. Technicians have also handled GFCI outlet additions surge protection and indoor lighting runs with some jobs wrapping up in a single visit while others dragged on over multiple attempts. Reviews note solid fixes on routine house repairs that lasted years yet point out cases where permits were skipped and resolutions stalled.
Homeowners give mixed feedback on the electrical jobs with some praising the quality of repairs completed over a decade of repeat calls while others flag delays and incomplete fixes that required legal steps. Speed and communication draw the most complaints when technicians leave problems hanging without clear next steps or updates. Price comes up when work fails to resolve the original issue and quality holds steady only on simpler tasks like outlet swaps. The low overall rating reflects those gaps in follow through alongside the positive notes on long term results from steady customers. DIRT Score 2.36 from 14 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I had a great experience with United General Service while remodeling the back half of our home. After buying our house, we found 2 'DIY additions' that were poorly built--everytime it rained water would flood our sunroom. We had reached out to several contractors, but were not able to settle on a good price and vision. However, when we spoke to Jimmy he listened to what we needed and was able to come in to our budget. Jimmy was great to work with and his team was amazing. They were knowledgeable patient and hard working. If we had questions or suggestions they were always willing to accommodate. The team re-roofed the house, built two new rooms, and even added a shower to our tiny bathroom. If you are considering a construction team to tackle your roof, additions or fence these are the guys you want. Also, Trevor and Travis are the real superstars. They consistently went the extra mile, collaborated with us and their attention to detail was impressive.”
“Performed unlicensed and/or unpermitted electrical work before closing on our property. The work didn’t fix any problems and they are refusing to provide a timely resolution. I keep getting blown off. I have contacted an attorney.”
“Excellent service! I highly recommend this company. I will definitely call on them again for any A/C or house repairs.”
“I'm never disappointed with the quality of work provided by UGS. They've made several repairs to my home over the span of 10 years.”
“BEWARE! We did work for them as a subcontractor, and it has now been 81 days, and he refuses to pay us for work he and his wife both authorized. Our 1st invoice was for less than we originally quoted them. A second trip was made at the request of Michelle and authorized by her "to make the customer happy" - we dropped what we were doing and ran to accommodate their request in hopes of building a good business relationship. Jimmy refuses to pay stating the 2nd trip wasn't authorized and Michelle plays dump and says she only does what Jimmy tells her to do. If she can authorize the work to be done, she should be able to authorize the payment for the work! If you are doing sub work for them, make sure you get a signature and don't let your lien rights expire!”
