About

Escn, Inc operates as electricians in Midland, TX where they run a parts operation that serves local trades and homeowners dealing with constant equipment needs in the harsh desert climate. The business focuses on stocking electrical and electronic components that are tough to source otherwise, helping folks avoid long waits for shipments from bigger cities. Customers come in for everything from basic tools to specialized items because the area has few other outlets, and the crew keeps things practical by knowing exactly what fits older systems still running in homes and job sites across town.

They handle orders placed ahead by email so the parts sit ready when someone walks through the door, including rare cables for totalflow equipment that no longer gets made. Lionel and T pull together the right pieces fast while the rest of the staff checks in on what else might be required, whether that means heat shrink tubing, a multimeter, or hard-to-find connectors for ongoing repairs. Folks leave with what they came for after getting pointed to the correct stock without extra trips, and the place has built a reputation for carrying components that keep electrical systems patched up on short notice around Midland.

Reviewers note the staff stays knowledgeable about inventory and gets orders filled without hassle most of the time, though a few mention certain employees turning short with people who need extra guidance on what they want. Speed and access to uncommon parts draw the most comments while price and steady communication get mixed marks depending on the day. DIRT Score 2.26 from 14 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

There’s quite a bit that can be said about an electronics parts store and since there’s not many to choose from in Midland, this one deserves a review. The employees here are friendly and helpful. More importantly, they’re knowledgeable. Whether you’re looking for some heat shrink or a multimeter, they seem to steer you in the right direction with enough variety to choose from. A great example was when I was looking for soldering equipment. Buddy there at the front desk knew exactly what I was talking about and helped me find what I needed off the shelf. Overall I rate this place 4 well-deserved stars. Since it’s west Texas and the Permian Basin employs plenty of people in the oil and gas industry, I’d say a fifth star would be deserved if they stocked a bit more of the specialty electrical parts/assemblies used in data acquisition systems. With more and more companies implementing WEG electrical motors and DAS into their business, I’d like to see some of that support follow through in the form of over the counter sales. Again, it’s an excellent store and they WILL get you out of a pinch when you find yourself scrambling to find what you need when your fiddling in between DIN rails. I highly recommend this place to others.

Great place for hard to find electronic components without having to order online. Some staff members can be difficult and condescending if you aren’t sure exactly what you need. Have been there several times and never left without getting what I needed. (except in the case of getting something extremely rare which they were able to order) They can be pricey though shop according to your needs.

Lionel and T were extremely helpful. I placed my order through email and when i walked in they had it all ready to go. Super kind from the moment i walked in until I left. Even the lady in the back desks asked if i needed help. They had cables for our totalflow equipment that we can no longer find. If they cant find it, they can make it or they can direct you where to go. Will definitely be coming back!

I've been there twice now. I can't speak for the other people who wrote a review however, I've received great customer service both times. And both times they had the part that I was looking for. This store truly is the place to find rare electrical parts. This place is a gem. You'll more likely find the part you need at this store better than the internet and for a better price as well. I'll continue to go to this first whenever I need parts for my equipment.

My advice: GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE I have been treated poorly at a few establishments in my life, but I am being 100% honest, and not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had anywhere, as far as customer service is concerned. I work for a fairly large oil and gas company and in the past we have done quite a lot of business with this store, and spent quite a lot of money there over the years. Well yesterday I went in looking for some specific parts to fix something for work. When I entered the store I knew where the general area the items I was looking for were kept so I walked to that section of the store, past the check out counter, where an elderly man who works there was sitting. I wasn't greeted when I entered the store, I wasn't asked if I needed assistance, or how I was doing, but that was fine. That didn't bother me much I figured maybe they were momentarily busy and would be over to help me when they were done. I begin looking for the items I need and I have trouble finding them. I ended up searching the section of the store for the parts for at least 10 minutes, and I noticed the elderly gentlemen behind the counter watched me struggle to find the parts the entire time without saying a word. Finally I approached him and asked for assistance. I am not exaggerating when I say that he groaned and begrudgingly the 5 feet to the section I was in, then very rudely asked me what I wanted. I explained what I needed, and he proceeded to talk to me like I was some kind of idiot. I have never had anyone in a store look at me in the manner that this man did, or talk down to me the way that he did. Instead of assisting me and educating me on the parts I needed and helping me find them, he talked to me like I was trash for about 5 minutes. I knew what parts I needed because I had called the manufacturer of the product I was repairing. But he rudely told me that I was wrong and that was not the right part, then walked off and left me standing there. Even worse yet, the entire time this is going on there was another gentleman sitting behind the counter that didn't even bother to look up from his computer. My company has spent many thousands of dollars at this store on things like cell phone signal boosters and electrical parts for our other equipment, but I can promise you this, we will not spend another dime at this place. I will drive across town or even drive to Odessa to find what I need if I have to, but I nor my company will step foot into this store again, and I would very much suggest that you do the same.
