About

Kv Power Lp operates out of Andrews Texas as an electrician outfit that handles big utility electrical work. They focus on transmission lines distribution systems and substations while also jumping into storm response and emergency repairs for power companies across the region. Their crews build maintain and fix the infrastructure that keeps electricity flowing to homes and businesses and they cover everything from routine upgrades to full scale construction on those networks. Based right there in Andrews they stay ready for the kind of outages that hit Texas hard whether from weather or equipment failure.

Their crews show up for storm response jobs that include replacing transformers and getting lines back online fast. During the big winter freeze in 2021 they drove out at night to swap out failed units in the middle of the cold and restored service after folks had gone without power for days in places like Willow Park. On distribution side they handle repairs to neighborhood systems and substation work that keeps transformers running right. One crew waited on parts then installed them quick to end a three day outage while another team stayed late through freezing temperatures to finish the job and get lights back on for whole blocks.

Homeowners in the area keep pointing to how fast these electricians move during outages and how they stick it out in bad weather to finish the fix without cutting corners on the quality of the work. The price side gets nods when the repairs hold up long term and communication stays straight about what needs doing next. That one low mark came from a separate vehicle complaint but the bulk of feedback lines up on the emergency side. DIRT Score 3.68 from 21 reviews on Finds.

We live in Willow Park Texas and our power has been off for three days and your cruise came and restored the power even without the parts that they were supposed to have from the get go they had to wait for the parts and then install them and they were quick efficient and got the power back on in our neighborhood. These men have left their families and their homes to make sure that our families have power. I cannot express my gratitude in words for these menThat I saw working in my neighborhood not to mention they are probably leaving my neighborhood and going to another in this frigid cold weather. I am grateful for you all coming down and helping us out God bless everyone of you

Thank you to this team who restored our neighborhood’s power in Willow Park, Texas. They are very admirable. We really appreciate them working late in the freezing cold. Bless them and their families.

These guys drove out in the great Texas Winter Storm of 2021 to replace some transformers in the middle of the night. They were able to get my power back on which we had been without for 5 days. Thank you.

I've never dealt with this company through work related activities, however I have dealt with them personally over a vehicle issue. I was driving down the road in Gardendale, TX on October 7th around 5:25 p.m., a KV-Power truck was going around 75 MPH in front of me. I was about 4 car lengths in back of him and noticed trash and other items flying out of the back of the truck. Then I noticed that there were loose coils of "metal" inside of the truck, shifting around. I slowed down quite a bit to where I was 6 or 7 car lengths in back of him, when one of the coils flew out and hit my vehicle. If I hadn't been such an observant driver, the coil would have hit my windshield and caused more damage than it did. The driver of the KV-Power truck did not stop, nor slow down. I sped up after I saw the coil lay flat on the shoulder of the highway, and caught up with the truck. I flashed my headlights and honked until he finally pulled over. The driver got out of the vehicle and came to ask "what was wrong". I told him exactly what had happened and he said, "Oh, sorry" and walked back to his truck. I got out of my vehicle and assessed the situation. There wasn't any major damage done, but a few really deep scratches in my front bumper. I went up to his window and asked for his insurance documentation, he then told me "I don't have any insurance papers, not even an insurance card." So I started taking pictures of his DOT information. He then miraculously discovered the company insurance card. I took pictures of that as well and let him know that I'd be speaking to whomever I needed to at his company to get this issue resolved. I was startled, shaken up, and further yet, I have NEVER been in an accident once. This is the closest to it, and luckily I am a decent enough driver to where it wasn't worse. We parted ways after he examined my vehicle. I called KV-Power the next morning and spoke with Mike, who told me there was, "no excuse whatsoever that the coils are not strapped down." and that they'd "do everything in their power to "correct the situation," including writing a check to me so that I can take it to any body shop I choose, whenever I have the opportunity to do so. I am a single mom of a 3 year old and I work at LEAST 60 hours IN my office, not even counting the time I spend working from home. I do not have time to get things done on someone else's time. He understood this. So I went on my way. I did not hear from them at all for another 9 days, so I decided on Friday October 16th to go ahead and give them a call. I told them that I had went and gotten a couple different quotes and that I would still prefer the check to be written out to me, just in case I found a better place. Mike was again fine with this. He requested that I send him the quote so he could "show his boss". Flash forward to today, I get an email from Mike after I sent the quote, saying that they'll be "sending the check to this company (the autobody shop)." So I explained to him that I was disappointed with this because I do not have the time to go currently and it would just be easier for them to send the check to me. I got a phone call from a Brian Hoffman at 3:24 p.m. Monday October 19th. He was immediately rude to me and started yelling when I tried to explain my situation. He basically called me a liar and said that his employee told him that nothing flew out of his vehicle. He does not believe that I had one of their aluminum coils hit my car. Well, it did. And the way he spoke to me was outrageous. If you're trying to rectify a situation, you do NOT, I repeat, do NOT yell at the disgruntled person who only wants this to be over with. It is NOT my fault that they don't follow regulations. I let Mr. Hoffman know that I would be taking this issue to DOT and insurance, and he yelled at me some more trying to say that he doesn't care what I do, and I can do whatever I want, but it won't change the fact that he thinks I'm a liar. And then when I tried to explain one last time, that the way he was treating me was extremely uncalled for he hung up on me.

Awesome!
