About
JVIC operates out of Pasadena, Texas as part of the Zachry Group and focuses on electrical services for process industry facilities. The company traces back to 1998 when its founders started as welders and boilermakers handling critical maintenance. They built operations around turnarounds and upgrades at plants across the region, with additional sites in nearby La Porte and Nederland. Their work centers on industrial electrical systems that keep refineries and chemical sites running during planned shutdowns and unexpected repairs. Crews emphasize practical skills over office talk, drawing from years of hands-on experience in high-pressure environments where downtime costs real money.
Electricians from JVIC handle wiring, motor controls, conduit runs, and troubleshooting on exchangers and towers during turnarounds. They respond to site calls with teams that manage both scheduled electrical upgrades and sudden breakdowns in process equipment. Reviews highlight the technician department staying on top of these jobs, with one customer noting the manager over the techs keeps everything moving without extra delays. Staff shows up ready for the long shifts common in Pasadena plants, dealing with the heat, tight spaces, and strict safety rules that come with industrial electrical work. A driver who arrived at their Red Bluff Road location for paperwork saw how the operation runs on the ground level.
Homeowners and plant contacts point to the steady quality and direct communication from the crews as reasons the outfit holds a solid rating. The hard-working tech teams earn notice for finishing electrical tasks on schedule even when conditions turn rough, and the overall price fits what industrial clients expect without hidden markups. Speed shows up in quick responses to calls, though a few mentions of short tempers during paperwork exchanges remind everyone that field work stays rough and ready. What Customers Say
“They need to teach some employees how they talk with the others, My driver went to the place located at 1280 Plaza in Pasadena, and the person in charge to sign the paperwork when the driver asked him to sign the document he threw it away all the paperwork and yelled to my driver says "I don't have time for that Sh... That is not the way to treat a person just for doing his work. After that, he had the nerves to make a report when he was the person with a bad attitude Fortunately, somebody else helped me, and he told me this person is always like that . A person like him doesn't deserve work with people. He needs a place just for him and doesn't talk with anybody.”
“This company is excellent! They have extremely hard working employees and wonderful staff. Their technician department is top notch and the manager over techs is the best!”
“They do not practice what they promote. It was a company that cared about its employees and had a good work ethic, but that is no longer the case. I have proof of this if anyone would like to know.”
“I am very offended by John Zachry mandating employee’s get the covid vaccination. This has nothing to do with their job description and is totally unacceptable. It is immoral behavior to think he has a right to make his employees choose to get vaccinated or lose their jobs. There is no scientific proof that this vaccine will not cause serious health issues in the future. I hope that employees will stand up for their right to manage their own health care and not be forced to take this kind of experimental vaccine.”
“The Pasadena office needs a receptionist that’s very warm with people when they call, the person answered like really didn’t want to be working or talking a message for that matter.”
