Dirk's Electric

Dirk's Electric operates out of Phoenix, TX as a full service electrical outfit run by master electrician Mark Derksen. He built the company around real craftsmanship after seeing too many sloppy jobs that left homeowners with headaches and safety risks. Derksen keeps things straightforward on every call, focusing on clean installs and fixes that hold up rather than quick patches. The crew handles residential and light commercial work with an eye on custom lighting setups that match the local homes and weather conditions. Mark brings an old school approach to the trade while staying current on codes and materials that stand the test of Phoenix summers.

Electricians in this part of Texas spend plenty of time sorting out overloaded panels from nonstop air conditioning use and wiring new circuits for pools or backyard setups that take a beating from the heat. Dirk's Electric shows up to trace shorts in attics where temperatures spike, replace worn outlets in older neighborhoods, and run proper grounding for homes that get hit by monsoon storms. They also install and repair custom lighting inside and out, making sure fixtures stay tight against dust and wind while delivering even light without flicker. Homeowners around Phoenix often call when breakers trip during peak summer loads or when adding EV chargers and workshop power, and the team works through the job without dragging it out or leaving loose ends in the walls.

Reviews highlight consistent speed on response times, solid quality that prevents repeat visits, fair pricing without surprise add ons, and clear communication from the first call through final walkthrough. Mark and his crew earn trust by explaining what went wrong and what they fixed instead of talking over people or rushing the details. That steady performance across hundreds of jobs adds up to top marks in every category. DIRT Score 4.93 from 204 reviews on Finds.

“This is the second time I have used Dirk's Electric and I am very satisfied with their service. This time they installed two outdoor outlets and put in a quick disconnect for the power to my hot water heater. They did an excellent job running the conduit. They tested all of their work. They also lowered the price slightly as they used a little less material than they had quoted. Definitely my go-to electricians in FH.”

“We had a great experience with Dirks Electric. Devon came out to our commercial building and quickly fixed a couple of lighting issues in one of our tenant spaces. He was professional, knowledgeable, and got everything working perfectly. I also want to thank Mark, the owner, for getting us on the schedule so quickly. When we called to book the appointment, Noelle was incredibly friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. The entire process; from scheduling to completion was smooth and stress-free. It's refreshing to work with a company that values customer service and responds promptly. I highly recommend Dirks Electric and will definitely use them again in the future.”

“Excellent service. I needed a repair and Mark was quickly scheduled and took care of everything. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. I can highly recommend.”

“On time, great work, right on quote, and he does that little bit extra! We now have level 2 charging! Thank you again. Please hire these folks when you want the job done right!”

“Excellent experience with Dirks Electric! Devon installed under cabinet lighting in my kitchen and it looks great! He arrived on time. He worked quickly and efficiently and was careful in the work area keeping everything clean. The office returns calls promptly. When I accidentally dialed their number and disconnected without leaving a message, Ashley called back to be sure she had not missed a call. So efficient! Mark gave me an estimate prior to the work and discussed options with me and explained how the work would be completed. When an unavoidable issue occurred on the scheduled work day, (no one’s fault) electrician Logan made alternate arrangements to insure the work went ahead as planned, demonstrating a willingness to take the extra effort to insure great service. Every step alo”
