“Our journey with Zema started with getting a competitive bid. We called four different companies to request ideas, help and pricing for our bathroom remodel project. One of the four failed to show up, second one came up with a quote of $60,000 without even looking at the bathroom. Zeph came in with his computer, sat down with us and asked us our vision and what we wanted to accomplish. On the initial appointment he came up with computer generated renditions of what things would look like. So from the beginning, Zema’s professionalism was head and shoulders above the other companies that we engaged. I had a major remodel project happen over past few months and I definitely chose the right contractor. Zema does all the work themselves. There’s no subcontractors involved. “We used ZEMA for two projects during 2023. The first was a relatively simple conversion of a bathtub/shower to a walk-in shower stall. The project went smoothly, and the result was a simple, modern addition to our home. It looks fantastic! The second project was more extensive. We were converting two closets into a powder room between the existing bedrooms. Outdoor plumbing work was required prior to any indoor work. We brought our ideas for the interior to Zephaniah, and he drew up plans accordingly and worked within our budget. He also gave us a timeline that he felt was reasonable to complete the plumbing, sheetrock, flooring, and painting. As the job progressed, we were happy to find that Zephaniah drew on his wealth of experience (and creativity) to make suggestions that we might not ordinarily consider. Several major changes that kept us in budget were part of the final plan. We found ourselves with additional storage that we didn’t expect and a hall coat closet which the house could certainly use. When the second project was completed, it came in weeks under schedule and every scrap of wood, nail, and bit of dust was cleaned up thoroughly.
