Modern Edison Electric

Modern Edison Electric works out of Sacramento as a no-nonsense electrical crew that takes on residential jobs from simple fixes to full system upgrades. They focus on homes in the area and handle the kind of electrical work that comes up in older neighborhoods where wiring has aged out. The outfit covers everything from basic troubleshooting to bigger projects like panel changes and safety checks, and they stand behind their installs with a ten year warranty. Sacramento homeowners often run into issues with outdated knob and tube lines or overloaded circuits during the hot summers, so having a crew that knows the local housing stock helps keep power steady without constant callbacks.

The crew handles fire safety inspections, panel upgrades, EV charger installs, bathroom and kitchen remodel wiring, electrical remodeling and rewiring, ceiling fan and light fixture work, outlet and switch replacements, whole-home surge protection, and general residential electrical services. They show up for troubleshooting calls when breakers trip or lights go out, then move into planned work like adding circuits during remodels or swapping old wiring in historic homes. In Sacramento the summers push air conditioners hard and storms bring surge risks, so the electricians check loads and add protection to stop damage before it starts. They move through jobs by first inspecting the existing setup, then laying out clear steps for the fix or upgrade so the power stays reliable once they leave.

Customers keep coming back because the work gets done on time without dragging out, the quality holds up through daily use, and the pricing stays in line with what the job actually requires around here. Reviews point to clear updates during the day and solid results on safety inspections and outlet fixes that stop ongoing problems. Homeowners in Sacramento note that the crew shows up prepared for the heat and older homes common to the city, which keeps small issues from turning into bigger outages. “Ramsey was an excellent electrician and super helpful. I was impressed with his knowledge, friendly demeanor and A+ work. Both he and Scott (owner) took the time to answer my questions so that I understood things and helped to find the best low cost solution for me. “On time, professional, quality service. We wanted an outlet installed in a laundry room and it was very easy to work with them from start to finish. We would recommend them to anyone!”

“Had the pleasure of working with Michael with our ceiling fan and light install. He did 5 installs very quickly and professionally, working around my cat and I as I worked remotely. Did a great job explaining everything to me as a first time home owner and answered any questions I had.”

“We hired Scott to install new circuits for our home improvement projects, and we had a great experience. At the beginning, we went back and forth quite a bit because we needed to coordinate with other contractors and figure out the best direction to go. Scott was incredibly patient throughout the process and took the time to walk us through all the options. He explained everything clearly so we felt confident making our decisions. His team was also super friendly and professional in handling scheduling and billing, and they did a great job explaining rebate eligibility to us. The electrician work was well done, and we’ve been enjoying the upgrades ever since. We later reached out to Scott again for another potential project. Again, he kept us posted on his arrival time, provided multiple options for the project, and clearly compared the pros and cons to help us decide. We’ll definitely use Modern Edison again and highly recommend them.”
