About

A1 Elite Electric handles electrical jobs around San Antonio, Texas. This crew takes on residential electrical tasks including work on panels and wiring in homes. They show up for repairs that builders and warranty companies send them out on. Electricians like these deal with issues that pop up in new construction and older houses alike in the area. San Antonio weather and growth mean plenty of calls for fixing electrical problems that homeowners run into daily. They work on things like outlet wiring and panel labeling to keep systems safe while responding to service requests from builders handling warranties on new builds.

The electricians perform repairs on outside panels that often need correct labeling along with checks inside for loose wires in outlets especially in lofts and upper levels. One job involved Nelson addressing missing covers for holes in a panel box but he noted lacking the parts in his truck at the time. Crews also handle wiring fixes that customers report as incomplete leading to ongoing issues like overloaded outlets that turn out to be loose connections instead. These tasks come up frequently in warranty work where technicians check circuits and attempt quick fixes without always carrying full stock or finishing the details on site.

Customers consistently note problems with quality on panel and outlet repairs along with communication breakdowns that include arguing over what needs fixing and unprofessional actions like speeding through school zones in company trucks. Reviews mention rude exchanges with staff and incomplete work that leaves wires loose or panels without proper covers. Speed and follow through draw complaints when jobs drag or get disputed instead of resolved cleanly. DIRT Score 1.03 from 11 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

This company is extremely unprofessional. I have a builder warranty and they will argue with you regarding repairs. The warranty department lady clearly needs some coaching and training. DR Horton you need to approve better contractors in your warranties. The outside electrical panel is mislabeled, she tried to tell me over the phone that I am reading it wrong. I told her my bedroom light is flickering and I have replaced it, she said it’s a light not a wiring issue. I said I replaced it multiple times and installed other lights so it is a wiring issue, she wants to charge me to have an electrician look at the light. Insane.

After seeing an Alamo City's Elite Electric Tacoma speeding in a school zone, I moved in front of him for him to realize he needs to slow down. He then proceeded to swerve back and forth to get around me, flipping me the bird. When the school zone ended I caught up so I could take a picture of his truck/company name and he slammed on his brakes to stop me from taking a picture, causing electrical PVC to go flying off the top of his truck all over Talley Rd. With the lack of respect shown for school zone where there could be children present I would never allow this person in my home, and someone who is apparently in such a rush they cannot do 25mph for a hundred yards, must have poor time management skills. Oh, and I got the picture anyway buddy so nice try 👍

EDIT TO REVIEW BELOW: WARRANTY LADY TAKE NOTE. UPON INVESTIGATION BY THE CURRENT ELECTRIC COMPANY THAT DOES MY NEIGHBORHOOD, WIRES WERE LOOSE IN MORE THAN ONE OUTLET IN THE LOFT. INCLUDING THE ONE YOU WERE SO SURE I WAS "OVERLOADING," ISSUE IS NOW GONE! TOLD YOU I WAS RIGHT, THANKS FOR BEING SO RUDE.One star, only because I'm forced to pick at least one star. These guys are absolute trash. I'm stuck with their work because my builder used them. Numerous issues with the electrical in my house. The biggest issue is my loft. My wife and I had this house built in 2020, since then I have gone through 3, yes 3 breakers for the loft. The first replacement was done under warranty at the end of 2021, so a bad breaker at the 1 year mark. Now March of 2024 the breaker trips again and won't stay on. This is breaker number two. a few days later I replaced the breaker, this one also trips after a short time!!!!!!! 3 bad breakers in less than 4 years. I tried to have a civilized conversation with the warranty lady, however that quickly ended when she accused me of lying about having the plug "overloaded" and just kept repeating to me that I'm out of warranty. If she would let me explain the issues I've had with the house it might have been a different outcome, and she could have maybe realized something bigger is going on with their work. Warranty lady needs to be fired, completely rude and unprofessional. By the way the added pic is of my "overloaded" plug, which consists of a TV and Nintendo switch charger plugged into a surge protector THEN plugged into the house. RUN, DONT WALK AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

If there was a way that I could give one star, I would. Pathetic service. Had some work done with Nelson. He stated that we were missing some covers for holes inside the panel box. I asked him could he install them. He says, oh I don’t have anymore in my truck.” Sounds like an inventory needs to happen on said truck. So, I set up an appointment for someone to come back out. Lady called stating that I was under charged for a service, but when I tried to ask questions about it, she started talking over me. She stated that I was yelling. I said that I was in an area that has an echo. She stated that she was too (not really). She called me. It wasn’t the other way around. So, she put me on a “brief” hold, but didn’t tell me why. So the manager gets on after about four minutes and tries to explain the situation. What he was saying had zero to do with the issue. So, I was going to get a charge for a $175 trip fee to install the covers. Nah

Recently these contractors were used in our home, there was an issues due to an error on the builders side (KB Home) and they did not finish the work. The technician that was sent out was nice and explained that once everything with sorted out with the builder he would be happy to come out to our home and finish. After trying to get with the builder to schedule them back I was informed that they refused to come back out, I could not understand why since there were no issues the first time aside from the issue with KB Home which was not something on their part nor did my husband and I blame them. Today I tried to find out if in fact they were refusing to come out or if that was just a lie from the builder to blame the contractor, I spoke with Monica who informed me that it was true they would not be out to complete the work on my home, she would not tell me why, she simply stated I needed to get with our builder. It astonishes me that someone would provide that kind of service, not to mention agree to come back out then decide other wise without notice or reason. I wish the business the best of luck if this is how they choose to run things. Overall the technicians were nice and were able to complete half the job but not complete it for reasons we were not given, not by the builder and not by monica. Should they wish to discuss the matter further I would be happy to.
