Alamo Transport & Development, Llc
Electrician · San Antonio, TX
About
Alamo Transport & Development, Llc works as an electrician based in San Antonio, TX. They handle power setups tied to home moves and site work across the region where summer heat and storms put extra demands on wiring and connections. The outfit takes on transport jobs that lead into finishing tasks like getting electrical systems ready for new properties. Crews show up with the gear to manage both the move and the follow up work that keeps power running without issues for local homeowners. They focus on electrical tie ins that must hold up under the area's tough conditions once homes reach their final spots.
They move new homes using controlled equipment and have a manager named Jennifer on site during those jobs. Driveway pours get finished with crews that stay neat and get the surface down quick once payment clears. Rough plumbing and septic lines form part of the package along with electrical tie ins. Some calls involve repairs after other outfits like Texas Elite run into back ordered parts and push blame around between the manufacturer and the site crew. Extra charges have shown up on transport work and homes have come out with dozens of cracks from rough handling during the shift.
Homeowners note fast turnaround on paid jobs and solid work from the crew on driveways and setups while others point to communication gaps and added costs that drag things out. Speed and clean results stand out in the better cases but damage reports and finger pointing between teams lower the overall marks. DIRT Score 3.71 from 62 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I was very pleased with the transport of my new home. It was fascinating to watch the robot being controlled into action. Very professional and they new what they were doing. The manager Jennifer was there and her comment was I'm using them from now on they are better equipped. Looking forward for my home to be finished to move in.🤩”
“Do NOT use this company. We were forced to use them by our home dealer and made to feel like we didn’t have a choice, which later I found out that we did. They destroyed our home during transport, with over 100 cracks. They added in extra fees and even told our vendors to change amounts after final amounts were agreed upon. Our home isn’t set correctly. When they dropped it, it had over 100 holes in the plastic divider and it was about to rain so we had to tape it up after they refused. They left our home unattended for nearly 24 hours on the side of a major interstate (i10) without anyone on site to ensure that it was safe. Our home cost $275K and it is destroyed. Just don’t. Use anyone else. I requested on five different occasions to have someone call to discuss everything, no one ever did.”
“Poor communication between manufacturer, sales and contractors who come in to finish/repair home. I have been in my home 7 months and have gotten the run around from their contractors Texas Elite about parts on back order and now they are blaming Alamo. I don't know who's fault it is but it's surely not mine. Update about 1 week from the original review: TJ from Alamo reached out and had a team take care of 99% of the repairs. Thanks to Alex and Joe for their patience and care with my home.”
“The process was extremely fast once payment was made. They want all funds upfront. The work at driveway completed and workers were professional and neat. I will use again for next project. Up next septic and rough plumbing.”
“Outstanding work! I had Alamo deliver a double wide in a remote location and it was going to be quite a challenge. These guys knocked it out of the park. I was fully prepared to have some damage to the house, but it does not have a scratch. Victor is one of the most professional and courteous individuals I have ever met and he made sure we were happy with everything. Ben is a jack of all trades and a master of his craft. He was able to guide these trucks and houses within inches of fences and trees with no sweat. Amazing work. I didn't get the truck drivers' names, but they were incredible. Their skill handling the houses was amazing. All this praise is for the ground crews I worked with in person, the office is another story. The office was very disorganized and quite unhelpful. I never had more than 24 hours notice regarding anything. I had to leave work early without proper notice quite often in order to accommodate the spontaneous appointments. The day of the delivery I called multiple times to find an ETA for the house. I was told I would receive a call back as no one was available. I never got that call back. I only knew the house was almost there because the crew onsite asked my neighbor why the fences were not down yet. All in all, I was extremely please with the work Alamo Transport provided. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”
