City Public Service
Electrician · San Antonio, TX
About
City Public Service operates as an electrician service provider right in San Antonio, Texas. They focus on electrical connections for homes and rental properties along with outage response and basic power maintenance across the city. Their work centers on handling service starts, meter issues, and efforts to keep power flowing for residential customers dealing with tenant turnover or weather related disruptions common in the area. Homeowners often turn to them when setting up accounts or addressing ongoing electrical reliability problems that affect daily life in San Antonio.
Technicians handle tasks like activating power between renters at properties and attempting to fix repeated outages through area digging projects. In one case a customer named Cody Rodgers needed power kept on at a rental during tenant changes but faced extended phone confusion over billing addresses and service needs. Another resident A Guti described constant light failures where crews dug up sections to stop outages yet saw no real change afterward. These jobs involve coordinating responses for security access at offices or managing bill related visits while trying to restore service after long delays.
Customers repeatedly note problems with slow response times after waiting hours for updates that never improve and weak communication during calls or on site visits that leave issues unresolved. Quality of outage fixes draws consistent complaints since work produces no lasting difference while pricing feels high for the results delivered. Speed and professionalism also come up short in reports of rude interactions or ignored commitments. DIRT Score 2.13 from 228 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Called because I needed to start service at one of my rental properties. I needed the power to stay on in between tenants. The guy that took my call barely understood English. Took 45 minutes for him to understand what I needed. Then he could not understand that my billing address was different from the service address because I did not live in the home. This took way longer than it needed to. The first connect team sounds very scammy in general.l was skeptical about giving me information to a foreign sounding individual that could not understand basic account start up services.”
“I hate living in San Antonio because I’m stuck dealing with their horrible service. My lights constantly going out. They came to our area did all this digging to help prevent outages and have accomplished NOTHING. There is absolutely no difference. Charge all this money for absolutely nothing. Any drizzle of rain it’s off. Ridiculous”
“Security guard on duty broke ADA laws asking me for my service dogs credentials. Please advise that they are ONLY allowed to ask 2 questions per my ADA rights. Completely disrespectful and discriminatory against my service animals and all I needed was the restroom while my wife was handling her bill. Completely unacceptable and this office needs to correct this as this is breaking the law and considered harassment I will be following up on a corporate level.”
“Rude and absolutely unhelpful after waiting 5 hours and taking off for work was told he's in route, which they had been saying for 3 hours. It's the least professional service I've seen and they do not care about their commitments.”
“This was a quick and easy way to pay my bill. I went mid-morning on a Friday. There was plenty of nearby parking. When I got there, there was no line and no wait. I had my bill with me and was able to pay with a check. Quick and easy.”
