Electrician · San Antonio, TX
About
The Power House Efficient Energy And Lig works as electricians based in San Antonio, Texas. They handle electrical tasks on homes in the area, including jobs from the original build phase through later fixes. Local conditions like heavy air conditioning loads and older wiring setups keep them busy with power distribution and outlet problems that come up often in Texas houses. Crews show up for both new installations and repairs on existing systems without much extra talk about their methods. They stay focused on the day to day demands of keeping power steady where summer heat pushes systems hard and many properties need updates to avoid constant trouble.
They take on specific jobs like sorting out power problems on air conditioning units and handling receptacle work during or after construction. Gabriel handled one call on an A/C unit by checking connections and sorting the issue on site with steady troubleshooting. Other calls cover original electrical runs from when houses went up, plus fixes for outlets that sit wrong or fail code checks. Homeowners mention quick arrivals on some days and direct responses when something stops working right away. The work covers both fresh wiring in new builds and repairs to keep outlets and circuits running without repeated callbacks in the local heat.
Reviews split on how the work holds up over time, with some noting solid fixes and fast arrivals on electrical calls while others point out code problems like reversed outlets that create risks and rough attitudes from the office when setting appointments. Quality and communication draw the most comments, good or bad, which pulls the overall mark down. DIRT Score 2.06 from 14 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Cheap electrical work cheap performance. I guess these home builders get what they pay for, none of my kitchen receptacles are up to code and I have a 14-50R that was installed upside down in a fire hazard. They hire nothing but cheap labor so they can profit off of neglecting the homeowners. I’m not sure why Taylor Morrison hired them.”
“I haven’t even received service from this company and they are already the rudest people I have contacted. Every time I speak to the main operator she has a very attitude almost like I’m unconvincing her asking questions or making an appointment. They are due to come out to my house and will see how the technician’s attitudes are but they don’t seem nice at all over the phone. The tone in which they speak is very rude and sarcastic I can’t stand being on the phone with them. I can be nice and polite and it still doesn’t matter they treat you like absolute trash. I would never go with the company if my builder wasn’t associated with them. I wish to god they would learn proper phone etiquette and have better communication speaking to customers. Please if you can go to another electrical company. I’m sadly stuck with these people and forced to work them. I get that people are have days but seriously the lady I speak to needs to learn manners. She can’t even be decent to a human on the phone.”
“Gabriel came out to the house today to fix a power issue with our A/C unit. I just wanted to pass along my sincere thanks! He was Upbeat, Super Professional, Efficient and went above and beyond to ensure the problem was fixed. He demonstrated thorough problem solving that is missing in so many people today. I am very satisfied with the service that I received and thankful that you have such a great professional on your team. I will recommend this company to others.”
“Powerhouse Electric did the original work when our house was built. They are very responsive and always get the issue fixed promptly. Would definitely recommend them!”
“They don’t let people merge on the highway in the company vehicle. Instead they speed up to the point of almost rear ending you just to not let you merge.”
