“Vision Design and Build won my bid because they were honest and forthright about what they could do for me and my badly needed home renovations. Making sure I was happy was important to them. If something wasn’t done to my or VDB standards, they worked hard to address it. Christina was a pleasure to work with and David the project manager was thorough. I also enjoyed the subs who were all conscientious and trustworthy. Which is important when you can’t always be there when the workers are. This was a 4-5 month project that invoked moving exterior walls and creating additional rooms in the house. It took 6 months due to changes and waiting on different materials but VDB was always responsive to my queries. I would definitely use them again!”

Design - I met with the designer and team on my lot and he interviewed me to get my thoughts and ideas of what I liked and wanted in a home. The output and final design home design is perfect, and I would not change a thing! Build & Project Management Process - We closely monitored every step of the build, and every question or concern was addressed promptly, to the point of 100% satisfaction. “As Vision finally completes our estimated 4-6 month remodel, 26 months later, we can finally say: TRUST THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. They tell you what you need to know. Owner BRYAN is completely unresponsive after you sign the contract. Project manager DAVID is mild-mannered and incompetent; you will grow to hate his lack of urgency and planning, and his continual lies about the status of work. Designer JONATHAN is a brutal combination of lazy and even more incompetent – his initial childlike sketches of terrible kitchen configurations was when we first knew we were in real trouble with this project. All these points are made in other reviews – this is the way Vision operates. If these people give you a timeline, rest assured they’ve given no thought to what actions would be required to meet that timeline, and they will TAKE no actions to meet that timeline. But most of all, they are completely incapable of handling anything better than builder grade quality. Our Saltillo tile is a disaster, we truly wish we had worked directly with an installer who understands that tile. We used a large format bathroom tile, and that installation is an embarrassment, we will have to have it completely redone. The number of attempts to get an acceptable stained concrete floor….the complete lack of waterproofing in the master shower and the water damage that resulted….oh Lord, we could go on for days about how much we resent these people. We do not recommend them for (a) anything residential; (b) anything where you care how nice it looks; (c) any project where you have any concern at all about how much time passes.”

“I have been very pleased with Vision Design & Build. I had a major project that involved removing a complete kitchen, entry, and family room down to the slab. They thoroughly redesigned a complete half of our 3100 sq. ft. and added a butler kitchen and a second story that included a second story terrace, porch, and carport. The final size of the house came to 4480 sq. ft. This was as complete a project as can be described from the ground up. We have been very satisfied with Vision Design & Build with their attention to detail and resolve to make our project as we expected.
