About
Bv Electric Inc works as electricians based in San Francisco. They take on jobs for houses and commercial spots in the city and surrounding areas like Alameda and San Mateo. Their main trade involves sorting out electrical problems that come up in daily use, along with bigger projects that bring older wiring up to current standards. Homeowners around here often run into issues with outdated panels that can't handle today's loads, and this crew steps in to upgrade those systems without dragging things out longer than needed. They focus on solid fixes that match the demands of older buildings common in the area.
They perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs when lights flicker or outlets stop working. Panel upgrades get done to add capacity for more appliances and devices. Whole-home wiring and rewiring tackles the mess of old lines in San Francisco homes that have seen decades of use. They also put in indoor and outdoor lighting, plus EV charger installs so folks can charge their cars at home. In a place with lots of fog and moisture, electricians like these keep systems dry and grounded to avoid shorts that pop up from the weather. Jobs often start with a clear look at the existing setup before any wires get pulled or boxes get swapped out.
Customers keep coming back because the work holds up under real use and gets finished on schedule without surprise costs. They hear straight talk about what needs fixing and how long it will take, along with prices that line up with the scope. Speed on emergency calls and clean job sites after the tools are packed away stand out as steady points of praise. The crew earns trust by showing up ready and leaving systems that run right. What Customers Say
“My interaction with the BV Electric office was excellent. Calls and emails were returned promptly and they were able to set up the appointments for both the estimate and then the work fairly quickly. I did not shop elsewhere but I felt the price quoted was fair for the work involved, so I proceeded to engage them as they had come highly recommended by a neighbor and my real estate broker. They had to open trenches in my primary closet wall to relocate the electrical panel to outside the closet so as to comply with current code requirements. As the attached picture shows, there were a lot of cables involved and they had to work around the existing wall studs. It was supposed to take 6-8 hours. The two guys (father and son) they sent were very nice and it appears they did a good job, but it was challenging to communicate with them some of the time as their English was limited and I do not speak Spanish. There were a lot of delays in getting the work completed in the course of the day, but a good portion of that had to do with the senior guy's van being stolen the day before; as a result he did not have all the required equipment and materials (including the new panel) so each of them went out for long stretches to get supplies, during which minimal or no work was accomplished. I of course want to be understanding of the stolen van situation, but as a customer, I expected the company to step up more and ensure that things moved along faster and more efficiently. In the end they were here for 8.5 hours after arriving late, and had to come back the next day for 90 minutes to finish up. In the end, everything works in the house and I have a proper new electrical panel in the requested location (see second picture). I really did like the two guys who worked on my project, and I think the end result is good, but I just wish the process of getting the job done - and communicating about it - was smoother.”
“We are so happy with the work Stefan did for us today. We were really impressed that we received a text that Stefan was on his way to our house. He arrived on time with a big smile on his face. He installed a large indoor light fixture, along with outside lighting and an outside electrical outlet. Stefan’s work is very good and he knows his trade. I would highly recommend BV Electric and Stefan anytime!”
“BV did a great job replacing the old wiring and main service panel in my home. Armando and his crew were very dependable and courteous. The price was very reasonable considering the scope of the project which took almost three weeks. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.”
“I had a very positive experience. BV sent out two guys to install 3 new ceiling lights for me. Everything went smoothly and quickly. Both electricians were very thoughtful and nice. My one gripe was the pricing. The company charges $159/hr. With a minimum of 1 hour. The two guys were here for only 20 minutes and wanted to charge me $350. I get that it is nice to have back up on a job but one person could've done this install in an hour. I ended up paying $300. Really this job should've cost no more than $200. Even though the two workers were really nice I would look for new electricians next time.”
“I had a great experience with BV Electric. Their communication as they did the work was great. They frequently checked in and made sure things were going to come out like I'd expected. Crew was on time and worked very efficiently and did a good job cleaning up afterwards.”
