What Customers Say
“My wife and I were planning on having our first child and thought solar would be a great investment financially with the rising cost of utilities. Met with Kyler Brown and he explained the benefits of going solar. He is a great representative helping us decide out needs and being there to help us with the installation process. With the rising cost of electricity we are glad we pulled the trigger when we did. Thank you sun solar team.”
“Absolutely the worst company to work with. They do not keep their warranty. The mount has come out of the ground, installed improperly and is not generating properly. Our bill has gone from $70 to $300-$700 a month due to solar panels touching ground and not facing up enough to get optimal sunlight. For 8 months we have been waiting for Sun Solar to just call us back. We call weekly and the little gal who answers tells us no one is available but she will do her best to have someone call us back. And we wait. Not worth the money and don’t expect them to warranty their work!”
“I contracted Sun Solar on 07/03/2024 with Kyler Brown to install a 12kw system at my home. Kyler was friendly, professional, and thorough about the economics of installing solar at my home. I felt confident based on the company's track record and the information presented that this would be a good fit. Bridgette Goff handled all of the permitting and net metering paperwork with my utility company, and within 3 weeks the system was ready for installation. The crew worked exceptionally hard in 100+ degree weather and I have nothing but great things to say about the professional quality of work they did. The crew did have 1 mishap that required them to come back in order to get the system energized by the utility company, but they were out the same day as soon as they were made aware, and t”
“Sun Solar, was very easy to work with, and very informative. They helped me from start to finish, and was there to answer any questions that came up. I would recommend anyone that is looking for solar to look no further. This company is top notch. I did a lot of research before I made my decision, and what I noticed is not many companies were end to end. Thank you Kyler, and your team for your everything along the way, and helping us save money on one of our biggest expenses!”
“The phone call conversation with Jimmy Shelton was very thorough, professional, and very educating. This guy knows his stuff and is very good at his job so I highly recommend anybody that wants information about the whole solar experience needs to talk to this person. He is excellent.”
“Thus far, my experience with Sun Solar has been exceptionally positive. Rob Gunn has demonstrated remarkable assistance throughout the entire planning process. He provided comprehensive explanations, addressed all my inquiries, and instilled confidence in my decision to pursue solar. I eagerly anticipate the installation and the tangible benefits it will bring. If you are contemplating solar energy, I strongly recommend contacting Rob and the Sun Solar team.”
“Met with the sales rep and was so excited. Thought we were doing our part for the Earth and saving money. Now at least 3 yrs in and am paying $248 per month for solar panels and $100-200 electric bill which exceeds the highest electric bill I’ve ever paid in our large home. Never received any paper work from Sun Solar so I don’t know exactly where I stand with them any more. They do continue to take out $250 per month for the solar panels. I give Sun Solar credit for customer service because even though I haven’t been the easiest customer to deal with over our phone calls and emails, they have actually responded to me within a respectable amount of time. We have discussed usage and banking Solar power and my usage has increased. You have to take a lot of things into consideration before ma”
“UPDATE: Maybe the worse decision I’ve made recently. I really hate leaving bad reviews but I need to. I’m not sure where to begin because of all the issues. My install took over a month and finally might be functioning. When I call to complain I keep getting the same person and they transfer me to the same person and nothing gets done. Everyone is very friendly but it feels like a run around. I did talk to a lawyer about my options. I know a bunch of people with solar and they all love it. I feel like choosing Sun Solar for my solar system was a bad decision. After a few weeks of low performance a crew was at the house for the third time and finally has it making power. Not sure yet if it’s what it’s supposed to make but better than it was. 2 weeks of making power and now the system ”
“I do not recommend Sun Solar and not because of the system, but because of lack of communication and transparency. Our system has been installed for a few years when the inverter went out. It took over three months for the inverter to be replaced, but all contact was initiated by us with very minimal follow up from the company. The updates we did receive were the same each week of 'your part just arrived and we need to schedule service. We will follow up on [this] date'. Asked for manager contact information, but the office would not share that, only to say the office will send the manager an email. Still do not know if any managers are aware of our situation. Filed a BBB complaint due to minimal contact from the company. Our system is functioning, but not a coincidence that the inverter w”
“I spoke with Kylar of Sun Solar and he proposed that they could add significantly to my small solar system. I warned them tht I had an Erie Metal Roof. After many delays from their Ops Team, I found out that the sub they use for putting panels ion an Erie Metal Roof was no longer working with them, so they could not do my project. The asked for 10% down on the project, and identified that the funds would be returned - I have not receive any funds for a project that they could not install for me. I would NOT Sun Solar with my Roof.”
