“On April 30 of 2026, Chams Electrical Services installed a completed new NEMA14-50 for EV charging (circuit breaker, wires and receptacle outlet). On the same date, the first 56 minutes test of EV charging was successful. On May 5th of 2026, I charged my EV second time for 2hr 58min. I found that my outdoor GE electrical panel (where new installed circuit breaker) was extremely hot. After looked at circuit breaker, I was shocked because a worn out (without manufacture name) circuit breaker was ininstalled. I called Chams Electrical Services on this date, Cheikh electrician came out and replaced worn out circuit breaker with ABB (not GE) circuit breaker and explained that ABB took over Ge several years ago. I will charge my EV this weekend to see if the over heat problem is solved. Note: Torque 45 in-lbs is for this ABB circuit breaker, but Cheikh did not use a torque wrench for tight down the wires.”
