About
Retro Lighting & Conversation, L C works as electricians based in Sugar Land, TX. They focus on electrical services that center around lighting upgrades and installations for homes across the Houston area. Local conditions like frequent storms, high humidity, and older wiring in many neighborhoods create steady demand for reliable fixture swaps and panel work. The crew draws from direct experience with these issues to keep systems running without constant callbacks. They stock a range of retro and modern options that fit both traditional houses and newer builds common in Sugar Land.
Their process starts with listening to what a homeowner needs, then matching fixtures to the existing style and budget. One job involved helping update exterior lighting on a traditional home by selecting durable modern pieces that blended in without clashing. Staff guided choices for well-made lights suitable across price points, arranged quick safe delivery, and handled the install so everything functioned right away. Another case saw them pick up on a vision for interior pieces and offer practical suggestions that landed on the right fit after some back and forth. This covers generator ties, EV charger adds, and straightforward repairs when lighting work overlaps with broader electrical fixes.
Customers rate the outfit highest for work quality and fair pricing every time. Reviews note the team stays patient through the selection process, avoids upselling, and delivers solid results on both product and installation without surprises on cost. That steady approach shows up in repeat praise for getting details right on lighting jobs that mix old house character with current needs. DIRT Score 4.63 from 44 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Our shopping experience was just great! Everyone was helpful and went beyond to make sure the purchases we made were exactly what we needed and wanted. Their products are extensive and modern. We live in a very traditional home and needed to update our exterior lighting. With their help and patience’s, we came up with a perfect solution. It is so nice to pull into the driveway and say “oh, what a pretty home”. Thanks again to Dynasty for her help.”
“Had a wonderful experience at this furniture shop. The collection is stylish, well-made, and suitable for all budgets. Staff were polite and very helpful in guiding my purchase. Prices are reasonable compared to other places. Delivery was quick and everything arrived safely. I’m really satisfied with the overall service.”
“I cannot say enough about my experience with Dynasty Adam’s at Modern Luxury. She welcomed me immediately and listened to my wants. After explaining to her my vision, she quickly picked up on my style. Making incredible suggestions, ultimately landing on a couple of pieces for my home. There was a point where i wanted to keep looking for fixtures and decor because I simply enjoyed just spending time and shopping in the store with Dynasty. Modern Luxury has amazing pieces, but I valued the honesty, communication and commitment to my project from day one. The whole team was very welcoming and everyone exuded a smile. That’s incredibly important. Beautiful wallpaper selections along with a wide price range! The same goes for lighting. I cannot wait for the smallest excuse to go back!”
“The store name is confusing. I see on business cards are Luminous Trends. So does on the website. The store sign on the building says Modern Luxury. Anyways, I love coming here to shop for potential light fixtures. Service agent was very helpful.”
“Bought the display model for this Kuzco chandelier as it was on 50% discount. The product is great. However the 3 star review is for the inconvenience caused by informing me a few days earlier that it was ready, and when I went to pick up, it hadn't been even been taken down from display. The sales person didn't apologize and told me that "the guys who take display models down might come in some time this week" Because I looked really upset and told them I had already set up an electrician, they called me back in an hour that it was ready.”
