About

Texas Elite Generators operates as an electrician and generator shop out of Tomball, Texas at 16822 Farm to Market 2920. The business focuses on standby power solutions including generator maintenance, installations, start-ups, and commissioning work. Office staff such as Lacie and Bre handle scheduling and customer follow-up while technicians like Ron handle field calls. Hours run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the shop closed on weekends.

Customers report hiring the company for new generator setups after buying units elsewhere, annual maintenance visits under service agreements, and troubleshooting problems like low voltage output or regulator issues. Some jobs involved independent electricians and plumbers making final connections before the company handled commissioning. Reviews note cases where generators continued running under voltage for years or failed after storms despite prior service, with one customer describing repeated regulator swaps that did not resolve the problem. Other jobs went smoothly with crews handling requested adjustments during installs.

The shop serves the Tomball area and responds to calls during regular weekday hours. Several customers described office staff as responsive with quick answers and follow-through on maintenance schedules, while others reported no callbacks after leaving messages, forcing them to visit the office in person to get on a service list. Communication came up often in reviews, with mixed notes on how issues like gas supply or regulator placement were explained or addressed.

Reviews total eight on Google with a 3.4 rating, showing split feedback on service quality and reliability. Positive comments highlight knowledgeable techs and professional office help, while negative ones focus on unresolved generator problems, unreturned calls or emails, and one incident of an employee parking too close and becoming confrontational. DIRT Score 1.9 from 8 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“We use Texas Elite Generators and have been very happy with our experience. A close friend/co-worker recommended them. She has been using them for years and through many power outages. Texas Elite Generators was patient, thorough, and best over all NOT pushy when I was looking for a new company to maintain our generator. I feel the office staff is responsive and professional. Two technicians have come out, both appeared to be knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions.”

Sarah-Anne Fehr

“My electrician uses them to start up all the generators they install. From day one the unit has not worked. Texas Elite is was telling us Centerpoint gas was the problem. And Centerpoint said it was the generator. For two years the unit ran under voltage. We had the unit inspected and found it was double regulated. So the regulator was moved. And Texas Elite stated it was good to operate. The home was sold and a good to operate inspection report was provided to the new owner. After Beryl came through the generator is still not running. Only putting out 100 volts. I did everything I know how to do even swapping out the regulator. Now Texas Elite says they are only working on maintenance customers, and everyone else goes to the back of the line. Even though we had them inspect it 2 weeks ago. So from day 1 it’s been a hassle with them. And poor communication. They even sent the tech to our office once instead of the job. Now I’m doing everything we can to make it right for the new home owner.”

“I was at a very popular crawfish shack in Tomball, when one of their employess in a large truck with a magnetic rider on the side with an Elite Generator sign on it parked so close to my driver side I could NOT get in my truck. Ron a employee found the driver. He came out to the parking lot cussing me, and refusing to admit that his truck put a scratch on my boyfriends new Ford King Ranch. Yelling at me that I must want a " freebie". I simply told him no, I take care of my stuff. I called the business 3 times and emailed twice, with absolutely no response from the owners. I wanted them to know what their employee was representing with their company logo on the truck!!!”

“We’re about a year in to having our Kohler generator installed. It’s been exactly what we expected. The install crews were efficient, great with communication and supportive of my concerns and requested adjustments.”

Brian Conley

“This company is the best! They have always been so helpful to me! Customer service is outstanding! Lacie and Bre in the office are fantastic. They are very responsive and always follow through.”

Joe Nguyen

“I hired independent electricians and plumbers to make the connections needed. I purchased my unit through Costco and was very concern with commissioning and start-up but T.E.G. made everything seem less. Tech was very knowledgeable and had all tools needed for the job.”

“UPDATE: I have verified and checked and this is for the correct company. I have invoices that confirm their address and business name, which match this address and business name. Good try, Texas Elite Generators. TLDR: DO NOT USE TEXAS ELITE GENERATORS. THEY WILL SAY WHATEVER THEY NEED TO MAKE YOU HAPPY BUT WILL NOT ACTUALLY FIX ANYTHING OR PROPERLY SERVICE YOUR EQUIPMENT. We called after our generator failed (that they serviced in JULY), and they said they would put us on a list for a tech to come out and see what's wrong. No one called. We had to drive TO THEIR OFFICE to actually talk to someone and be put on a list to have a technician come out. And then they literally sent out someone who could only change the oil and couldn't even do a load test. He was about to leave without saying anything to anyone when we caught him. Finally got an actual technician to come out and they said that it was the gas line. We called the gas company and guess what? Definitely not the gas line or the meter. In fact, we'd been upgraded to a bigger meter to make sure that the generator had enough fuel to run. We asked to have another technician/plumber come out to look at the connecti”

“Texas Elite Generators have been a blessing in our lives! They are knowledgeable, professional and their work is done in a timely manner. They honor their maintenance agreement faithfully every few months. They communicated well throughout the installation process and even now, two years later. A great company that we highly recommend!”
