About

Griffith Electric works as an electrician outfit based in Bullard, Texas. They take on residential electrical jobs across the area, from panel upgrades to full hookups on small mobile homes and generator setups for backup power. Homeowners in East Texas often deal with storm-related outages and older wiring that needs attention, and this crew steps in for those kinds of fixes. Their operation stays local, handling calls for both planned work and urgent after-hours issues that pop up in houses and properties around Bullard. The business focuses on getting power running right without extra layers of office staff in between.

They handle tasks like bringing a new mobile home up to code by swapping out the main panel and connecting all circuits, as one customer found when Griffith fit the job into a packed schedule. Generator installs also come up, though one case left ground wires exposed and created a safety risk that required outside reporting. After-hours service gets them on site quickly for outages, yet some jobs end with temporary patches that never get a proper follow-up visit. Technicians show up for initial assessments on lighting or service calls but have left unfinished when parts or planning fell short, forcing homeowners to chase down resolutions on their own.

Reviews split between quick accommodation on one panel job and repeated shortfalls on communication plus incomplete repairs that left hazards behind. Customers note solid first response times in a pinch but point to unreturned calls and refusals to correct exposed wiring or other oversights as ongoing problems that dragged out simple fixes. That pattern of partial work and poor follow-through pulls the overall marks down across the set. DIRT Score 2.93 from 17 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

We recently purchased a privately built small mobile house and had no idea what we were doing with any of the set up. We hired Griffith to help us upgrade our panel and hook everything up. They were so incredibly accommodating, even working us in to an already filled day, were super easy to work with and had great communication! We have even contacted them after their services had been completed for various questions to which they happily assisted with.

I hired Griffith Electric Company based on a neighbor's recommendation, but I regret to say that my experience with them was extremely disappointing. There was poor communication and lack of professionalism. The electricians did not complete all the services I requested, were unprepared, had to leave and return, and failed to provide a detailed explanation for the services they did perform. When I asked for clarification, it seemed as though they were making up information to match their charges. Furthermore, their arrival and departure times did not align with what my security camera captured. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by Griffith Electric Company. I would advise anyone considering hiring them to save themselves money and frustration by looking elsewhere for electrical services. May 9. Contacted Jennifer to inquire about scheduling completion of requested repairs June 11. Text response from Jennifer apologizing for untimely reply regarding quote on materials due to issues with their supplier; stated quote would be emailed. June 28. Texted regarding email not yet received. Response: “I don’t have your email! I did send your quote above!” (Email address was provided to Joe on initial visit.) Text message from Jennifer: “hourly rate of $120 for 2 guys, materials $321” Indicated, “will try to save you money if we can” I responded that I saw the information texted, however, I was anticipating a detailed inventory for each service requested to be sent via email. Further inquired as to how soon I could be scheduled for repairs. Scheduled for Tuesday, July 9. July 8. Received text message that due to the weather, service men had to leave their jobs and would need to return the following day to complete them. Was rescheduled for Wednesday. July 10. My adult daughter remained at my home. I had planned time off on Tuesday prior to being rescheduled. July 20. Received bill (void of details) in U.S. mail for service performed on July 10. July 20. Contacted Jennifer with the following: I would like to know exactly what I am being charged for and would like to see a breakdown of the costs (parts, time, service performed, etc). Without this information, it’s difficult for me to verify the accuracy of this bill and ensure that I am not being overcharged. It’s my understanding the gentlemen had to leave and return during the process. Please provide a detailed invoice in order to clarify potential discrepancies and ensure transparency in your billing process. Two additional requests that were NOT performed: •The hallway light was also to be repaired (I was initially told one bulb was “stuck”) •Warranty information for the floodlight July 20. July 20 — 6:39PM. The flood light is warrantied through Griffith Electric for one year from day it was installed, so 7/10/25 expires

Hired Griffith to do a generator install for a customer. Job was done incorrectly, leaving ground wires exposed, which could have caused serious injury. Mr. Griffith refuses to respond or make the situation right. I have filed with TDLR and Smith County!

Had these guys out after hours... response time was great, however.. they put a "bandaid" on the issue, and never came back. I've called SEVERAL times and left messages over the last month with ZERO response. I can never get ahold of anyone and nobody will return my calls. They fixed my issue temporarily (for a day or two), but it didn't solve my problem. I've called and called, to no resolve. If they treat other customers like they've treated me, I'm not sure how they're still in business! It's quite ridiculous.

They caught my house on fire and told me it was my fault! I had another electrician tell me that was the cheapest panel box you could buy and he fixed their in unprofessional work! I will be taking them to court!
