What Customers Say

I had a very disappointing experience with Moss Electric in Wichita Falls. Julian chose not to call me or work with me on the below issue. From the start, I clearly communicated the scope of work: replace an existing Tesla charger setup with a NEMA 14-50 outlet and reuse the existing 60-amp breaker. This was not a complex install—most of the infrastructure was already in place from a prior installation. Despite that, their technicians arrived and installed the wrong outlet (6-50) without consulting me. This is not what I requested and left me unable to use my equipment. One of the technicians even admitted they were not informed of the correct outlet type, which reflects poor internal communication. Because of their mistake, they had to make additional trips and corrections—yet I was still charged as if the delays and extra work were my responsibility. To make matters worse, they sent two electricians for a straightforward residential job, significantly increasing labor costs without prior approval. The final invoice was roughly 3x higher than expected, and it was sent three months after the work was completed, with no upfront pricing transparency. At no point was I informed that bringing two technicians would impact the cost this significantly. They also advertise a military discount, but there was no meaningful cost consideration reflected in the final bill. To be clear: * I specified the correct outlet (14-50) upfront * The wrong outlet was installed without approval * Additional trips were required due to their error * Labor was inflated by sending two electricians unnecessarily * Pricing was not disclosed in advance * Invoice was delayed by months This experience felt disorganized, overpriced, and lacking accountability. I would not recommend Moss Electric based on this experience. ——-break for response—— Thank you for the response. I want to clarify a few points so future customers have an accurate understanding of what occurred. I clearly requested a NEMA 14-50 outlet to replace an existing Tesla charging setup. Regardless of any NEC considerations around breaker sizing, installing a 6-50 outlet without confirmation was not appropriate and did not match the agreed scope of work. If there were concerns about code compliance or inability to reach me, the correct course of action would have been to pause—not proceed with a different installation. Regarding communication, I promptly returned all calls and all text messages which I have proof of, including T-Mobile billing. I was not made aware that two technicians would be used or that this would significantly increase labor costs. While I respect safety practices, pricing transparency is a basic expectation, especially when it materially impacts the final bill. Additionally, the need for multiple trips was the result of installing the wrong outlet initially—not due to faulty equipment on my end. Charging the customer for time spent correcting that error is not consistent with standard professional practice. Finally, the invoice was received months after the work was completed, and there was no clear estimate provided upfront. That lack of transparency contributed significantly to the frustration with this experience. To be clear, my concern is not about code compliance or safety, those are important, but about communication, execution, and accountability. I stand by my original review.

Outstanding Electrician – 5 Stars! Moss Electric did an excellent job upgrading the electrical in my kitchen. Professional, punctual, clean, and reasonably priced. He explained everything clearly and even caught a couple of potential issues before they became problems. Highest recommendation — I’ll be calling him again for sure!

Great experience from start to finish. They completed all the work exactly as quoted, with excellent quality. Communication was clear and timely, the job was done quickly, and the pricing was very reasonable. I would absolutely use them again and will highly recommend others do too!
