“July 2021 I had two new hot water heaters installed by a plumber. Both units are the same model and were installed the same day by the same plumber. On Feb 5 2023 the downstairs unit shorted out inside the electrical hot water heater where the plumber connected the wires to the hot water heater. Not sure what happened but apparently the wires can vibrate and work themselves loose if not fully secure. I called the electrician and he came the same day and inspected the downstairs unit and repaired the connections. (Stripped the wires and reconnected them). After the downstairs unit was repaired I had the electrician inspect the upstairs unit to ensure the same issue would not happen to that one as well. He inspected it and said it was fine. July 10 2023, I hear loud popping and open the upstairs unit door and the entire enclosure is filled with smoke from the upstairs unit doing the exact same thing as the downstairs unit. Shorting out. I paid $250 for this electrician to repair the downstairs unit and inspect the upstairs unit connections to ensure it would not happen. He was at my house less than 1 hour. The upstairs unit shorted and appears to be un repairable as the short melted ”

A simple 120-volt outlet wasn't going to cut it. 30 hours to 100%. I think not. So, I called around to several different places on a Saturday (of all days, I know). TPG was the first place to call me back AND provide both an estimate and time to install the nema 14-50 outlet we needed. I had done enough research to know what questions to ask to ensure we got a safe charging solution for the house. Layth was more than comfortable answering any of those questions over the phone and ensuring that I understood the need for higher quality components due to the amperage demand of the EV. He asked me to send him pictures of the electrical panel to ensure we had enough room and amperage to handle the upcoming demand.
