“I contacted D&M Fencing about a week and a half ago because I needed someone to come out and look at my fence, which will be needing repairs. I was told they could come out the following Wednesday to provide a quote. I asked for a specific time, but was told they could only give me a day and that they would come sometime that day. Unfortunately, I overslept that morning. When I woke up, I heard someone ringing my doorbell, but by the time I got to the door, they had already left. I called D&M Fencing (because I assumed it was them) to explain what happened. During that conversation, I was specifically told that it was them and that they do not call, text, or send any type of alert or notification before coming out. I was also told they could come back out and that it would most likely be the following Tuesday, and that someone would call me to put me back on the schedule. They had every intention of providing them until he realized they had an estimate for the neighbor. He called me back and said that he no longer would sell me the pickets.. We ALLOWED them into our yard when the neighbor had the fence installed. Given this interaction, they will not be allowed back.))) Initially agreed to provide materials for a fence repair WE have the right to make as it is our yard access to the repairs would be made from. After learning our neighbor had also requested an estimate, they refused to sell us materials, effectively prolonging a neighborhood dispute they weren't involved in. This decision put potential future profit ahead of being a neutral community business. As our rental company confirmed, we have legal access to make these repairs from our yard, and their refusal to provide materials after initially agreeing to do so created unnecessary continued tension between neighbors.
