“To state - with the endorsement of a renowned engineer - this contractor created severe & permanent damage to my property- TI hired Tex Tex Concrete LLC for a complete driveway demolition and replacement 9 months ago and it has been a catastrophic failure which was evident immediately within days of completion. If it is possible to give a negative 10 - that’s where my review is. The company claimed to be fully bonded, insured, and eligible to pull municipal permits. However, they failed to pull the required permits for Dallas County, and the job was done without any official code inspections. I have since had three separate engineering reports conducted on the work. The findings are horrifying: the concrete was poured directly onto saturated soil with standing water and organic matter instead of a proper aggregate base. The rebar used was undersized and left resting on the ground. Crucially, they created an improper tie-in with the expansion joints and used no backer rod. This was not a professional installation by any standard. They also shorted the project materials, installing only 10 feet of channel drain when the contract explicitly specified 25 feet. “There is not enough good my husband and I could say about our experience with Tex-Tex Concrete! Juan and his crew arrived early - just before 7:30 am - and were completely finished with our patio in 6 hours. This included capping off two sprinklers and repairing a leak in two irrigation pipes that would be covered by the concrete. Juan went to great lengths to help us with this project - over and above! Jesus and Julian did not waste a minute and are experts in their field. Jesus even used the left over concrete to fill low spots next to the fence, so our dogs couldn’t get out and reinforced the bottom of our retaining wall. We are thrilled!
