The most recent project fenced in our 1 acre front yard with pipe-top fence, four stone columns matching our house, plus integrated wrought iron and an automatic driveway gate. They designed it all and did the installation. Their crews were hard-working, polite and highly skilled. This company was able to coordinate various crews of heavy-equipment operators, iron workers, masons, power gate installers and general laborers. You may be able to get a cheaper fence installer, but HCF&R are worth what they charge. All of our fences have been high quality, attractive and durable over the years.”

“I contracted Hill Country Fence and Ranch to install a gate w/opener on my property. Within a few months the installation failed so they came out to fix it. A few months later (14 months after the original install) the exact same failure is now happening again. Now they won't honor their work because it is "out of warranty". They tried to be very courteous as to why they wouldn't stand behind their product and recommended I go seek help elsewhere but the reality is that I paid a lot of money, including extra for upgraded hardware. I understand the original warranty, but when failures happen a couple of months after the install, the warranty timeline needs to be adjusted. Had the install been done properly in the first place, I wouldn’t have needed the repairs. Had the repairs been done properly I wouldn’t need the additional repairs. Net sum, this is poor craftsmanship followed up with poor customer service.”

“This letter expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the unresolved repair of a gate installed by your company as part of a $12,000 wildlife fence project. The choice of Hill Country Fence and Ranch was based on its local presence and the expectation of quality service and support. However, the experience with the gate repair has been exceptionally frustrating and unprofessional. On July 14th, Shannon was contacted via email regarding a broken hinge on the large gate, which prevented access to the backyard with a skid steer. Shannon assured via email that a welder would be dispatched for repairs on July 23rd. This appointment was missed without notification. Subsequently, the urgency of the repair was reiterated, emphasizing the need for a functioning gate by the weekend of August 1st. Shannon confirmed that a welder would be on-site this week, specifically on July 31st or August 1st. However, on the afternoon of Thursday, July 30th, another email from Shannon informed that the welder was still occupied with another job and would not be available until August 11th. “I wasn’t asked by the company to write this review, but after such a wonderful experience, I felt compelled to share. Finding good, honest, and reliable companies can be challenging, so I hope this helps others. Hill Country installed metal fencing on approximately 2.5 acres of our property a year ago, and everything has been excellent. They completed the job as agreed upon. We've had two minor issues over the past year due to water erosion and land changes, but Hill Country promptly came out and repaired them at no charge, as the work was still under warranty. What really impressed me was their honesty and customer service. After the fence was installed, we got a Belgian Malinois and realized she probably needed an 8-foot fence. I contacted Hill County about retrofitting a portion of the existing fence with electric wiring to keep her away from our smaller farm animals. Instead of simply doing the job and making thousands of dollars, they advised us that the electric fence might not achieve the desired effect. They recommended an alternative solution, which could save us money and doesn't benefit them financially. They didn't guarantee the new product would work or say the elec”
