“Trey Hicks and his crew did a tremendous job on our fence project at a fair price. This involved installing 315 feet of 6 foot black steel fence, 175 feet of 8 foot cedar fence, and two 8 1/2 foot stone pillars. There were also two metal gates (4 and 10 foot). Everything was done very professionally, They even coordinated with the stain guys, so all the cedar could be stained before installation. I would definitely recommend Hicks Fencing for any fencing project.”

“I got quotes to build a 3 rail black Ameristar Ornamental Steel fence with stone columns matching our house to enclose most of the backyard of a one acre lot in Shady Oaks Estates. The first company quoted me exactly what I asked for, but they didn't ask any probing questions and didn't push back on any of my specifications. When Hicks Fencing came out, Tracy (the owner) asked numerous questions, which I liked, since I had only had and built wood fences at my previous homes. And most importantly, he pushed back when I told him I wanted a 6' high fence. He said that was significantly more expensive, it wouldn't match the neighbors and that a 5' fence would be sufficient to keep the deer out (they could jump it, but wouldn't, since they are so well fed by the neighbors). He also pointed out that I would need to get a water line easement at the back of my property marked (which he eventually took care) and that I needed to go about 3' further back than I originally planned to avoid my septic drain lines. I called the first company back to get a revised quote given the new boundary and shorter fence, but I was pretty convinced at this point to go with Hicks Fencing, which I ultimately ”

Final product is outstanding, very straight, and sturdy without any substandard materials. I had gotten three estimates, Hicks was in the middle. With his construction style using high quality western red cedar, 6 inch wide #1 pickets, and three rails using 16' boards rather than 2 rail, 8 ft boards, I'm confident I got the best bang for my buck. “Tracy knows how to install a fence! Six inch cedar pickets, 4"x4" posts sunk 24". He uses three 16' 2x4s per 8 foot section and staggers the seams as well as installs steel frames on the gates. All of this equals a very high quality fence. I received bids from four companies. Hicks was not the cheapest but they were not the most expensive either. I had a large fence (around 550 feet). The entire build took a week. Tracy and his crew were courteous, on time, and communicated throughout every step of the process. If my dear little grandmother were still around and needed a fence, I would not hesitate to recommend Hicks Fencing. They did a great job. Very happy!”
