About
Kowboy Fence Company runs fencing work from Hillsboro, AK. They install aluminum fencing, vinyl fencing, chain link, farm fencing, wood privacy fences, retaining walls, gates, and decks. They also handle concrete services, brick and masonry work, staining and sealing, commercial jobs, and repairs while offering wholesale materials. Nathaniel Pardes serves as senior project manager on many projects and coordinates with crews that include Austin, Josh, Trey, Hagen, and Demetre.
Homeowners call them for full fence replacements on damaged yards, new cedar privacy fences that stand solid, driveway gates, and backyard decks. Some jobs finish with clean lines and no leftover debris while others run into scratched posts, sagging gates that rub and need extra brackets, warped boards within two years, or crews that leave cut pieces behind. Project managers like Nathaniel Pardes often adjust plans on site for trees or layout changes and complete installs in one or two days when the schedule holds.
Crews answer calls quickly, keep in touch through the job, and quote prices that some callers find competitive. They work in the Nashville area and Middle Tennessee plus spots across the Southeast. Reviewers note that managers stay available for questions after the crew leaves and that small changes during the build get handled without long delays.
The company shows a 4.7 rating across 951 Google reviews. Common points include solid wood fence results and steady contact from Nathaniel Pardes, though several reviews flag material damage, gate problems, and follow-up gaps on fixes. DIRT Score 4.6 from reviews on Finds.

“Kowboy Fence Company and their crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We were especially impressed with the installation team—they did a fantastic job and paid attention to every detail. Thank you, Kowboy Fence! We highly recommend them.”
“Lack of care for material. Job was all scratched up when they left. tried to add unagreed change orders have over 200 pictures of scratches. Gates have fallen off and fence has blown over in multiple places. Agreed to pay all but a retainage due to scratches asked them to wait to touch up after temps got up to paint manufactures approved temp but they went ahead and painted on a day that was 14-29 deg. have paint they used with specs. still 100s of spots remain scratched. We meet them multiple times with the check minus less then 10% deducted do to issues. Even signing paperwork that stated as soon as it was fixed by manufactures spec we would pay the remaining amount. this was a very poor quality job all the way around. I would be glad to show all pics and video.”
“Our fence looks amazing. Nathaniel Pardes senior project manager came out and did our estimate for our fence. He spent time talking with us what the best options were for our backyard, took the measurements and we are so happy with how our fence turned out. Thank you Kowboy Fencing and Nathaniel for everything we will highly recommend you all to our friends and family.”
“Kowboy Fence recently installed a fence for my neighbor and left rocks and fence cuts scattered across my yard. When a crew returned to replace some pickets, I showed the worker the mess. He said he didn't have a rake or shovel, so I offered him mine. Instead of cleaning up, the crew left without doing anything. I contacted their office through their website. Later I spoke with a representative who assured me someone would come out to handle it, but no one has shown up or followed up. Extremely poor customer service and lack of respect for neighboring property. 10/25/2026 - Still nothing from Kowboy Fence. If you like your neighbors don't hire Kowboy Fence.”
“These guys where not great. The bulk of the fence is correctly made. So job technically done. Now the bad: 1. They need closely watched, I have an almost brand new fence on the left span on my yard, I paid them to do the front and right span, when I came out to check on them they had dug 16 post holes and laid out the post on the side that already had a fence, they just moved out 8 inches and were in the process of building a fence in front of the fence. Luckily I caught them before they poored the concrete. 2. I had them build me a gate. They cut the post too short before installing the hinges so the hinges looked bad (see photo) 3. When they came back to fix the hinge they just hammered them over the top of the post and stuck a bolt in. Still looks like awful and now the hinge is jacked. (See photo 2) 4. They required 2/3s of the money up front. So there was not much is could do about their bad workmanship. 5. They where comparatively more expensive, I thought paying more would mean better quality. I was wrong. I am not mad enough to fight them in cort over it. But I would not recommend them. Update. They sent someone back 3 times to fix the hinge issue. This is what they settl”
“They did a fantastic job with my cedar privacy fence; solid and looks great. Install crew was polite, worked very hard and got it done quickly. My only suggestion from this project is to communicate a little better re: install schedule, but still deserves 5 stars.”
“I had a great experience with Kowboy Fence. The fence looks awesome. Nathaniel managed the project very well and handled all questions and any needed tasks immediately.”
“I had Kowboy install a 14 foot double gate across my driveway. There have been issues with it sagging and hindering operation since day one. Opening or closing the gate requires significant force because the latch hits and rubs the other gate, causing wear. The posts are even supported by being attached to the existing fence. The installers knew they had a sagging issue and tried bracketing the fence to the brick facade of my house which is unacceptable. See holes in the brick from the bracket. When the repair workers unattached the post from the existing fence to try to "fix" it, it sags so much the gates overlap and cannot close at all. The last fix involved cementing the fence post near the base of the house to support the gate and that didn't work either. These posts should be able to hold the weight of the gate themselves and one manager I spoke to agreed. I've tried to get Kowboy to fix this but the workers (all speaking through phone speech translators to both management and myself) say resetting the posts will not fix the issue. There has been no further resolution by Kowboy. *Update 10/13/26 It was fixed for a few weeks then gradually started sagging again. The last cou”
“These guys replaced my fence, and they did an excellent job. My project manager, Nathaniel Pardes, was professional, on-point and a pleasure to work with. The installers were able to get my fence up in a single day, and even re-vamped part of it so I wouldn't have the same issues with trees that I did with the old one. Good work all around at a solid price. If I ever need fence work again, I'll call Kowboy first.”
“In 2024 we used Kowboy to install a fence in the back half of our property. At the time, the salesman said they stand behind their product, that they use treated wood and it will be ten years before we have any concerns.. while I understand ten years is quite an ask for a wood fence, and honestly I wouldn't expect that type of longevity given the elements in middle tennessee, it's been less than two years, and there's significant warping and boards splitting and coming apart along the fence line. Thinking that this couldn't be right. And that they will stand behind their product. I reached out to Kowboy fencing only to be told that they're going to charge me a consultation. And that I'll have to pay for any repairs. As they only cover the fence for 1 year. Also, I was told the salesman no longer works there and anything he said was regrettably not correct. After spending so much I am very disappointed in Kowboy fencing and their unwillingness to even work out a deal. Maybe a free consultation? A discount on the repairs? Stay away, they will sell you on a fantasy of support only to break this later.”
“Kowboy Fence was a leap of faith for us, we’re new to the area and had to choose a company fast to replace our rotting, storm damaged fence. Nathaniel Pardes Sr and his team were fantastic! They showed up, verified what we wanted, and got the job done in record time. Thank you so much!”
“10 outta 10! It’s been an amazing experience from start to finish! Austin was super helpful on coming to my house and not only providing information but also thoughtful suggestions-that I hadn’t even thought of! I wasn’t ready to make such a big purchase that day but they stayed in contact and helped answer all my questions. I finally decided it was time to get the new fence and Josh joined in and was great! He was always available for a call or question and he even came out to the house when I needed his insight in person. I made a few changes after the work had started, which probably should have pushed my project to the end of the week, or been a huge pain for them, but they were eager to take on my changes and get my fence completed. The workers that were here worked harder than anyone I’ve ever seen! Truly, 12+ hour days, two days straight with very minimal breaks. I have never seen anything like it and it was obviously were not skipping on quality even though they must’ve been exhausted. All in all, give Austin and Josh a call! Get the new fence. I am kicking myself for having waited!!”
“Amazing experience with Kowboy Fencing. They were prompt to answer any questions we had. Also they were very efficient with their work. Nathanial Pardes was an amazing point of contact person we had as Senior Project Manager and he helped us through very step of the way including afterwards to make sure we were truly satisfied. Highly recommended them for any fence work you may have.”
“11 MARCH 2026: "VETERANS AND WOMEN OF COLOR BEWARE????" THEY HAVEN'T FIXED ANYTHING. EMPTY WORDS... (Install was Dec 2025?) I asked to speak to the owners so that they would know about the inferior materials and unskilled workers that were sent to my home. I asked the salesman "Tate" for a new driveway gate with materials of equal grade or better than what was existing. Tate told me that you all don't do jobs for less than $2,500. So in addition, I asked for a pedestrian gate centered on the front door and to replace the wood gate on the south side of the house. They cut my previously existing fence that was level and in excellent condition and placed the gate in the wrong position. Lawson told me that it was only about seven inches off and they could fix it? Cut more and then patch work it? They removed the top rail of my once level fence and did not reattach the fencing to it. They didn't try to make it level as it was before they cut it. They cut the bottom tension line and did not reattach it. They installed the posts in the dark and the next day pushed, with much force so that the gates did not swing into the street. They're not plumb and now they swing in. The p”
“TL;DR: If you’re looking for a high-quality, well-built deck in the Nashville area, I would recommend Kowboy Fence Company. While the process was not flawless, the final result is a stunning, durable, and professionally constructed deck. Not every construction project goes perfectly from start to finish. In my opinion, the true measure of a company’s customer service is not how they perform when everything goes smoothly, but how they respond when challenges arise. Kowboy ultimately demonstrated that commitment. When I began searching for a deck builder, I looked for the highest-rated companies in the Nashville area. Kowboy stood out due to their strong reputation and consistent customer feedback. I also appreciated seeing active responses from ownership on customer reviews — it reflected accountability and engagement. I scheduled a free on-site consultation. The sales representative was professional, communicative, and attentive to our needs, including additional structural reinforcement to support a hot tub. We were presented with multiple options, including traditional wood and composite materials such as Trex. A detailed quote was provided within a day. Although the initial e”
“Thank you Kowboy Fence Company! Nathaniel Garrison and Demetre were beyond helpful. Very responsive and men of their word. Our turnaround for quote and install was within a week. The installation was quick, they did a great job and left no mess behind. Very excited to have a safe space for our kids to play in. Will definitely recommend to anyone.”
“Our neighborhood needed new fencing in the common area. Kowboy fencing gave us fair pricing and super service. They removed the old fencing and installed the new. Quickly cleaned up the debris and will be back to finish staining the fence after curing. Great communicators throughout the process. Nathanial Pardes was a super project manager. Highly recommend working with this company for residential jobs big or small.”
“I never thought I would have a fence this nice. They did a fantastic job and several people that are in different job positions stayed in touch with me to make sure it was going well and that I was happy. The men who did all the work were very particular and wanted it to be perfect. Their hard work paid off. It’s perfect and I couldn’t be happier. Please consider using Kowboy Fence Company for all fencing needs. I don’t think there’s a better company out there. I love my fields now as I come up the road and the fence spans the entire way up in the road until I get to the driveway. I would definitely recommend them. It got the seal of approval from my horses and very big dogs (even though it has a very strong wire fence cut in on the back side of each run between the wood fence panels). It’s very safe so I never have to worry about my animals getting hurt. I just love it!!!”
“Make sure to thoroughly review the diagram of what they are actually going to do/replace. I did not notice they quoted me for only 95% of my fence. So now I have 5% unfinished. I refused to pay another $600 requested for the 5% they left off when I was clear in my request. Also had to add nails to multiple boards that were completely missed.”
“My Wife and I just bought a new house and needed a fence for our dogs right away. Trey came out on our closing day to survey everything and got us an estimate immediately. He was even able to price match and beat a competitor’s quote, which we really appreciated. The whole team made the process easy. Cortney handled payments and made everything simple with deposits and the remainder, Hagen walked us through and confirmed the plans, and Josh was on top of scheduling the crew quickly and working through a small change we needed after the first day. They got us scheduled fast, and the crew finished the entire fence in just a day and a half. The price was great, the service was excellent, and the fence turned out exactly how we hoped. Highly recommend Kowboy Fence!”
