“It's 7am and I'm woken up to the sound of breaking pots and my bird feeder being destroyed. We're Tennants in the apartment complex so I guess we weren't people enough to knock on the door to ask us to move stuff (would have been no problem)--none of this was attached or nailed to the fence in any way so we're standing here confused. Instead of just asking, they destroyed stuff and left it in a haphazard line of debris that use to be the (dormant) homeschooling garden for more than just my kids. I collected everything into a plie that they just left laying there. Just absolutely wild.”

“I’ve been going to these guys for some fence assembly pieces. I’m too cheap to hire somebody to come out, but they have reliable parts so happy to come to them. Our gate was coming off the rails for some stupid reason and we needed some new wheels. Then our chain broke so we needed some new link. I walk in, and low and behold Peter (their link guy) happened to be there and was very happy to help. Instead of trying to gouge me with prices, he hooked me up with some free link and I was able to figure out my sizing when I got home. He also gave me some great advice on how to deal with the issues as it was my first time. Their front desk lady is very nice too. Sold me the wheel we needed and now the fence is rolling! “Hi everyone! I recently had a new gate put in by Island Fence company Junction city and some new boards as my neighbors dogs were coming in. Johnny came up with this amazing design and got the work done in less than half a day. The job was done right and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely think this is a solid company. I would hire them again. Our main gate is operated by an automatic arm and Peter from Island Fence came in and serviced the gate and A remote hook up through my Wi-Fi so I can monitor the gate and turn it on and off remotely. “We heard about this company from a neighbor, and we had a very good experience. They installed a wood privacy fence with two gates, it looks great, is very straight and sturdy, and we've gotten many compliments. They were very reliable, gave us an idea in advance of when they could come out to do the estimate and the work and then followed up a day or two before to confirm. They arranged for the utility companies to come out and mark the site in advance to avoid digging into anything. The manager, John, was very helpful listening to what we were trying to accomplish and providing advice and ideas when he came to look at our site. I was a little worried the gate would be heavy to move, but they used a high quality metal frame and spring and it's perfect. We paid in the mid-to-high end, but I felt it was worth it to have someone reliable. My neighbor was home when the fence was going in and she noticed they were good workers - didn't take a lot of breaks, good attitude, etc. Very happy and will check with them again for our next fence project.”

“We recently moved to the Junction City, OR, and not knowing the area, we were relying on Craigslist and the BBB for leads on a fencing contractor. It was proving to be very difficult to get anyone to return calls, let alone show up. On a drive into Eugene on Hwy 99, we passed Island Fence. I stopped in on the way home and spoke with Brandon. Brandon made an appointment for the following week on Wednesday and gave me his card. The following week, he showed up as scheduled, measured everything, and returned a multi-options bid by the following Monday. We chose the black coated chain link based on appearance and price compared to the other options. He was upfront and honest about a possible 8 week wait before they could start. They set the posts on a Friday, let the concrete cure a week, and came back and finished the following Friday and Monday. The fence looks great and the customer service is exceptional. It should be stated that I was told by a gentleman at a local hardware store, I should expect their quote to be high, but the quality would match. The only other fence company to show up to bid only provided a price for one option I asked for and that was more than $2,000 mor”

“We called Island Fence several times to have someone come out and give us a bid for two small sections of fence with gates. My husband finally had to go out to the business and ask for a bid, they scheduled a time and then did not show up and did not call to cancel. My husband called back and they did not even say why they did not show up but made another appointment. We just got the bid back that did not have any breakdown in pricing, when I called to ask about a breakdown I was transferred to the estimator John Mahendra and he told me the 2 gates would total $585.00 without labor, the bid was $3,785.00. I asked how much it would cost for one of the Fence sections (because we requested fences on each side of our house). He said he did not have a breakdown of the different locations and if I didn't like the bid I should go with someone cheaper. He was very rude and obviously did not want our business. I would not recommend Island Fence to anyone. Zero stars.”

“I called these guys three times to get them to come to my house and do an estimate on replacing my fence. After the second call back I did ( They didn't even bother returning my call the first time ) supposedly they were headed to my house to get the estimate and pictures. Never heard back. SO, I called them again, ( being that they are a local company ) and the estimate was " On it's way " Not only did I not receive the estimate, but they didn't even bother to call back to check and see if I received it. Poor business. I figured that I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Will not recommend to anyone.”

“One of their guys cracked my main water line. They did not bother to inform me to turn my water heater off and did not bother to tell us the water was off. Had my wifes brother not told us to turn off the water heater we essentially would have had a bomb in our garage. Poor communication can kill your customer. We had no hot water 4 days and no water 4 days. I Hired these guys because they were supposed to be the best. I Want a discount to make up for their shoddy communication. Their work is good but all i want is the project completeted without further problems. I am not happy with them because of the water problems.”

“Let me start by saying I typically dont "review" places unless I want the world to know to never go to such places... My husband and I called and ordered nearly $4000 worth of their "highest" quality wood. Upon receiving the wood to our house, we began to put up the fence only to find out that nearly 1/3 of the wood was highly poor quality in one way or another. We took all of the bad boards back to the company for an exchange. I asked if I could inspect the boards first prior to taking an exchange. They said "No, we don't let people do that because then you minaswell go down to Jerrys because we dont want people messing up the neat stacks of wood.". So I asked how I can ensure that they would be better quality because the company said we could not do another exchange. They "conveniently" didnt even have the type of wood we had origionally ordered and said that we would have to pay an "upgrade fee". I gave in because I just wanted to leave that place. Even the upgraded wood was crap. I will NEVER go back to this place. They get all of their wood from their own mill and the wood is cut very poorly.”
