He talked us through every step of the way, made recommendations and put his own spin on every detail. He would also get our approval throughout the job before locking anything in which made us feel very comfortable. Also, he was sure to consider our ideas as well. “My experience with this contractor was nothing short of terrible. The contract was to install the landscape which include 5 flowerbeds, minor grading, bordering borders for the fences, and build a 12 x 15 deck with one custom angle and four 6 x 6 posts (upgraded from 4x4 in which Mr Summerlin said it would be ok at no extra cost) for the future installation of a pergola. However, Sean Summerlin did a horrible job for building the deck. They built my deck without proper measuring with string-line which caused the deck to have the back side against the house shorter than the opposing side. This is now no longer a rectangular deck. The four 6x6 posts were also put in without proper alignment with each other. The overall construction of the frame of the deck was not up to standard neither as he used no joint braces and proper supports. I again raised a concern with him and tell him that we need a serious discussion of the issue. Instead of offering an apology and telling me how he will fix it, he decided that he needed to leave and tell his crews to clean up and go. Later on today, he did offer me a new condition stating that either I downgrade to a 4x4 posts and he will fix the deck”

The grounds were very lush to begin with having multiple palm trees, sago palms, oleanders, roses, bird of paradise, multiple shrubs, fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a water feature. He removed some plants and incorporated others to bring harmony to the space and each year he has fresh ideas to continue to bring beauty to the yard. Sean came out and laid out a design and mentioned a few plants that he would put in to accentuate the front of the house. “I only give one star because it won't let you post a ZERO!!!! Nothing short of horrible - came out for initial estimate and seemed to know what he was doing - paid half down to start the job - once he showed up, brought the wrong stone but we were told it was popular and everyone uses it - showed up with the wrong size pavers (we were quoted 20 - 24 inch - he brought 12 inch) showed up with wrong gravel - his excuse was the rains had made it hard for the gravel companies to harvest the river rock that we wanted. Every time my wife or I tried to speak, he got louder and interrupted so that we couldn't speak. I said something to him about this practice then he got smart ass with me and I told him "Get the &%#@ off my property." We met with Sean and his wife and worked out the differences... or so we thought. The project that he was trying to do which was grading ground to be level and installing pavers as well as drainage system, actually caused another problem that caused water to stand in one spot about 4 inches deep. He offered to write an estimate TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT HE CAUSED - OMG SERIOUSLY??? Sean was fired from the job and thru trying to contact his company at the address”
