“I called Garage Tec to help with a residential rolling gate, and I was thankful they could see me that same afternoon. The technician that showed up was cordial, and confirmed I was responsible for an $85 assessment fee - no problem. He was quick to diagnose the problem as it was just an old gate opener and that he couldn’t get parts for it. He then told me he could try to “straighten the chain” and then run it and see if that works for $349. I agreed. That didn’t work, then he offered to sell me a new system. I went online and found a replacement circuit board. Installed it and it works fine. So, clearly parts are available. Disappointed that I paid $349 to be told they couldn’t get parts and to be sold a new system.”

“I had a tech come out to give me a quote for my garage door— he was awful. Rude and condescending. Listed all the repairs that needed to be done and when I asked why the other repair companies didn’t have as many fixes as him, he said it was because they were idiots and gave me a quote “based off a 5 years olds understanding of garages”. I was at home alone with my two children and felt extremely uncomfortable and asked if I could pay over the phone and even told him he could wait in his truck while I call the office to pay (so he could get confirmation) and he said he refused to leave before he received payment in person. He followed me inside uninvited where my children were. Do not recommend this company at all. This was an awful experience.”

“Called these guys up becasue my tenant had an issue with the gate, the person on the phone was nice and said they would be able to get out to me the same day. Which was great, until Alex the tech showed up. He did a quick look at the gate and said its probably an arm that needs to be replaced for about $2000. I paid less for the gate but okay. I was like well it sounds like its working, can you check the battery, since I had the battery replaced once before(10year old gate) and lo and behold, the batteries were gona and needed to be replaced. I asked him to get me a price while I took a phone call. after a few minutes I am getting call after call. when I answer, he says he left already but gives me a price and I said go ahead and fix it. He does so. and then comes back and says oh by the way there is also going to be tax on this oh and a 4% fee for credit card. I was fine with all that, so I give him my credit card number and he goes, Do I have your permission to act as your represetnative and sign this. To which I say NO that is fraud. At which point he gets mad claims he was a litagtor for Deutche bank and hangs up. Mean while my credit card has gone through. I thought everythign”
