“Earlier this month (February 2026) we contacted Garage Tec Automatic Gates & Garage Door Repair when our electronic gate opener stopped working. The Garage Tec technician (Alessandro) arrived promptly and diagnosed our problem. He installed a new LiftMaster LA500 Actuator the next day, and it has worked perfectly since then. Alessandro was friendly and knowledgeable; he worked quickly and provided excellent customer service. Garage Tec responds quickly and professionally and their prices are reasonable.”

“Just had my gate serviced by Luis @ Garage Tec, and hands down the best service and repair. My 10 year old gate works just like new. Highly recommend this service if your gate opener is in need of repair.”

“When I spoke with the lady on the phone she said it was $80 for someone to come out and if they work on it then the $80 is waived and it's just whatever it costs to fix it. The service technician who came out was very nice and polite, however I didn't appreciate not being told upfront that if the technician even touches a key on the keypad or opens anything or looks at what could be going on that's an automatic $350. Even though that doesn't even guarantee they will know what needs to be fixed. $350 isn't to fix or repair anything apparently it's just to touch anything on the gate to even know what could be going on with it. So they could charge you $350 for nothing and they could not know what's even wrong. I've just never had someone come out to service anything and charge you $80 to come out and $350 just to touch it and no guarantee that they know what's going on with it or anything. Like I said, service technician was nice and was following the company policy. I would never use them again and recommend the company be clear on their calls prior to service.”

“I worked with Alejandro and had a wonderful experience. I had to have my gate door rewelded and moved bit higher. Alejandro and the welder showed up the following Monday morning and had the job completed in 2.5 hrs. The following day I had to have my other gate rewelded. When I called back to speak to Manny Fine, the manager, to reprogram the gate, he said he was no longer working with me and gaffed me off. I thought I had a good relationship with them, but apparently not. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Once the job is completed, they do not assist with any follow up questions. Very, very poor customer service. Shame on you Manny!!!!!!”

“1 star for timeliness on response and showing up at scheduled time. No stars for trying to fix my problem. The tech looked at my garage door opener and said it was too old to repair and tried to upsale me a new one. I asked if he could check the motor capacitor and he said that it would be a waste of time b/c there are no parts available. I told him to leave. I then used my digital multimeter and found no resistance on the motor capacitor. I found the OEM capacitor on Amazon for $15. I replaced it myself and my garage door works just fine. This is classic attempt to fool a customer to purchase something not needed. I will never contact them again.”
