We decided on a modern, horizontal plank design. Each 6’ linear section of privacy fence is very well constructed (every post is set in concrete) and the appearance is even better than imagined. “I had a great experience with Comal Fence. Luis came out to give me an estimate and talk about my needs (two different fence projects). I made a couple of changes after receiving the estimate which they incorporated immediately. A few days later they were out and installing. Unfortunately, since I wasn't there when they started, we had a small snafu; but Luis had it corrected the very next day. The materials used were all good quality and my fence looks great. Luis kept me informed of the schedule (it was right on target, except for a spell of rainy weather which held up applying the sealer....which was the right decision and unavoidable). “I contacted Comal Fence for a quote to get the front of the home re-fenced. Before contacting them I saw the reviews and felt comfortable that they would be professional and could be relied on after one bad experience already with another fence company. Luis came by last week and said he would get back with me with a quote. After not hearing anything for a few days I called him and even text him asking when we could expect the quote and no response or call backs after making three attempts to call. I finally got a text back on a Monday saying he apologized for the delay and would send over the info the next morning but was never received. Now the real problem I had is that if we couldn’t rely Luis and Comal Fence to come through on just a quote , what would have happened if he was contracted to start the job. We’ve already had broken promises this early in the situation so it speaks volumes that the company is not reliable and when you run a business your word is everything. I’m very disappointed in Luis because I felt good about him the day I met him but now I’m glad it didn’t go any further because he couldn’t deliver. So my advice to other customers look for the red flags early ”

“Luis is the Comal Fence Company representative that we met and negotiated with. He is very professional, personable and gave us the exact deck handrail and back yard fencing (for a very competitive price) that we could afford. He was always on time for appointments and returned my calls quickly. The deck handrail was fabricated on site. The final product is well made, structurally sound and beautiful. The only reason we gave 4 star instead of five stars is that we feel that more care should have been taken to protect our existing trex deck and concrete porch from weld spatter and paint overspray. If there was a 4 1/2 star rating we would have given that. Despite this minor criticism we would recommend Comal Fence Company to anyone looking for well made, professionally installed handrail and fencing.”
