About
Southland Fence & Supply operates out of Spring, Texas at 5310 Logston Ln and handles fencing work for homes and businesses. They install wood fences, iron and aluminum fences, vinyl fences, brick and stone fences, and various gates including wood, driveway, chain link, and iron models with operator access control. The business lists hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and covers Spring along with nearby spots such as Houston, Kingwood, Conroe, Cypress, and Pearland.
Customers report fence replacements like cedar panels completed in a day and a half by Mario and his crew, who adjusted plans on site after a quick call. Others describe horizontal board-on-board setups with aluminum-framed gates installed by teams including Victor and Luis, along with staining applied in two coats via power sprayer. Some projects involved quick same-day quotes from Bill or Brent, while others mention crews fixing gate issues the next day after a call to the office staff like Brandy. A few jobs ran into warping boards, gaps, or gates that opened only partway, with follow-up calls going unanswered in those cases.
Work starts with phone contact and estimate visits that sometimes happen the next day. Pricing comes in competitive on multiple bids, and crews arrive on scheduled dates in several accounts. Communication runs through named staff like Mario for changes or Luis for updates, though some customers note delays in callbacks after deposits. Service stays within the listed hours and listed areas around Spring.

What Customers Say
“Contacted Southland Fence via phone, later that day Mario called me to set up an appointment for an estimate, he showed up promptly the next day. Mario was informative and took time to explain how and what materials would be used in our cedar Fence replacement. He told me a date they could do the project, his team showed up on that day and knocked the project out in 11/2 days. We along with our neighbors quite happy with quality of the work done. We did contact Mario on day one of the project with some questions and a slight change to the original plan he contacted the guys working and they made the changes happen. All in all it was a seamless process! I must say thanks to Mario and his entire team, the lady in the office dealing with billing etc was polite and efficient, the workers were clean and friendly, and Mario was helpful and kept us up to date throughout the process, Thanks Southland Fence Team!!”
“Terrible service, first move was to try to install an inferior fence to the one we ordered, second was to do a terrible job and have the metal spindles sometimes buried in the sod or millimeters away from concrete pours so no easy way to clear the potentially wet debris which can cause rusting. Missing a few top caps/plugs and will not answer my calls to fix it. Sorry I paid before a better inspection.”
“I hired them to replace the fence in my back yard. Well, they built the fence the way they wanted not the way my old fence was. Our neighborhood has uniform fences throughout the neighborhood, well, mine is now downgraded and they won’t come fix it. Additionally, my two month old fence is already warped at the back gate, they installed the springs on the doors on the wrong side so they are useless, they didn’t install the pool safety latches at the top of the gates that were already there. I had to get new ones and they haven’t installed those either. And to top it all off, the back gate won’t open past 45 degrees. This is literally the worst work I have ever gotten done by a company. They are unresponsive. They do not follow up on anything and no one is going to quality check the work when it is complete. I would use anyone else but this company if you are thinking about building or replacing a fence.”
“They stole my money. Paid them a deposit and I never heard back from them. They asked that I pay with a check and not a credit card. Now I see why. Do not do business with them. I just saw that they lost their BBB accreditation. I am so mad.”
“I hired Southland Fence and Company nearly six months ago, and my project is still not what I paid for. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. The only reason I ended up working with this company was because my left-side neighbor initially hired them, and my mother then decided to replace the remaining sections of the back fence with the same company. From the start, communication was a major issue. It took an unreasonable amount of time just to get them to come out for the back fence. I repeatedly explained that I did not have a good relationship with the back neighbor and wanted the fence done solely on our side. Initially, they assured me this was possible, only to later reverse their statement without any clear explanation. When they finally moved on to the right-side fence, they damaged my neighbor’s gate in the process—this neighbor didn’t even need a new fence. He only agreed to the replacement because I wanted to move forward with completing the project. For months, I found myself constantly calling, emailing, and following up just to get basic responses. Mario, who I was told is the CEO, was especial”
“January 2026-Bill came out and agreed pickets needed replacement, but is now saying he is just the salesman and has no control. Company refuses to do anything and will not answer emails. Their contract states arbitration through BBB, but they lost their accreditation. Was charged $28.72 each for 84 pickets which sell for $1.56 each according to the tags on the picket fence boards. They come from an unbranded source ( low quality) from Grand Rapids, Michigan sold at Home Depot and other vendors. November 4, 2025 - besides huge gaps in fence, it is now warping and cracking. Bill told me all lumber was high quality from the pacific northwest; which actually only consists of the 16 foot ground contact rot boards and framing wood. I will contact the owner, as he suggested in his comments below. The pickets require replacement for the quality lumber I paid for. September 1, 2025 - BBB Accreditation has been revoked as of July 30, 2025 for not adhering to proper business practices and failure to address customer complaints! August 1, 2025 - Fence and gates finally installed June 17-19. Luis called at 7:34 am on June 17 to inform me a crew, which turned out to be a one man sub co”
“Beyond satisfied. From start to finish, every team member ensured that I had options and were accommodating to my hectic schedule. I recommend Southland to anyone who needs a professionally installed fence with care. Thank you!”
“We made the decision to go with this company after looking at three estimates from three different companies. This company was competitive and the sales person very professional. We actually put money down for a new fence installation prior to Hurricane Beryl hitting. I did have to call to remind them that we were already on the schedule, but once they arrived, the fence installers were professional, hard-working, and very focused. They did a fantastic job with precision and accuracy. The reason I give four stars instead of five is because there is a big blue spot in our driveway. It is located right where the truck was parked, so I let the company know. They sent a project manager out to look at the mark and hopefully remove it. He was very nice, but he did not bring any equipment with him. He used our water hose and a small little hand brush to try to brush the mark away. He then informed me that the mark was due to a leak from a cement bag. Once he tried to wash the blue away, it smeared it and made it actually look worse. I had company coming that weekend and the mark was there regardless. The project manager asked that my husband use our pressure washer to clean it and if tha”
“They installed a 7' horizontal board-on-board fence with a 21' gate on the side of my house. It came out awesome! The aluminum frames they used for the big gate and the two smaller gates work perfectly. Couldn't be happier with the end result and would definitely use them again.”
“Great company. Great work. Very impressed by their professionalism, price, and quality of work.”
“Southland Fence did a great job on installing our new fence. From sales, to project management, to the crew that installed the fence, everything was very professional. Would recommend Southland Fence to anyone needing a new fence.”
“I do not even want to give this company a one-star review! They are truly a scam. As soon as I signed the contract and paid half down, there were no responses. Not only that, but this company also advertises that it has an A+ rating with the BBB. They have actually been expelled from the BBB for unethical business practices. They have never replaced my fence. After receiving 1/2 down, I never heard back from them. I did get in touch with the owner, who said he would refund my money that day... of course, this never happened. Do not use this company.”
“Several bids on our fence and SFS did the job at a competitive level. Very happy with the end result and would highly recommend them. Also recommend the stain. You think it looks good after the install, wait till they stain it. Not from a pump spray bottle, they come out and spray it on (2 coats) with a power (paint-type) sprayer.”
“Sorry some had bad experiences with Southland. My experience was nothing but great! From communication with Bill, to Brandy and Luis at the office to the crew that came out, everyone was top notch. My neighbor had used them to replace their fence, and we liked the work and competitive pricing, so we decided to use them as well. I had a concern with the gate that I notified Bill about the night the crew finished, and they had them back on site the next day to make it to our liking. Would definitely recommend! A+++”
“Thank you Southland Fence! You guys did amazing! The hurricane really did a number to our home and we were seeking a reliable and dependable fence company to work with to rebuild our fence around our property. After speaking with this company, they were completely upfront regarding scheduling and what to expect with our project. We worked with Luis and he made sure to keep us in the loop of every phase and he was a pleasure to work with. Ken was very helpful as well with different questions and concerns we had regarding on what would make more sense for our home. We really appreciate Southland fence and them getting our family taken care of. It was so rough before and overwhelming because we have 4 big dogs and 3 pigs in our yard and not to mention a neighbor that likes to stare into our windows. To know that we were made a priority with Southland fence for all of our needs made this project so worth it. Shell was extremely helpful with getting the accurate invoices over for us and helping us with our payments. We would definitely choose Southland Fence again and will refer to all of our friends and family. Thank you for the super experience and I don’t want to leave out the crews,”
“Big thanks to Bill, Victor and the rest of the Southland Fence team for delivering a quality product. Southland came in with one of the best bids, but where the other companies took 2-3 days to get back to me, Southland provided their quote to me on the same day which ultimately swayed my decision. I am very happy with the finished product and would recommend them based on my experIence.”
“After looking at multiple options we chose Southland, which turned out to be the best decision ever. The team was fast and finishings were clean.”
“Zero stars. Would not recommend (so far). I paid a 50% deposit, but the company has not started the work as scheduled. They declined to provide proof of material purchase or share vendor information when asked. Today they told me their vendor was closed and rescheduled for tomorrow. I’m giving them one more chance to follow through and will update this review if the situation improves. For now, I feel very concerned about their reliability and communication, and I want others to be aware of my experience.”
“STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I hired this company during the first week of July with a promise that I would have the work completed within two weeks. This was not true. Every week they would reschedule the date to the following week. They finally came a month later and did a horrendous job. They charged me 50 % up front and before finishing the job, they were pressing with emails about how they were done and that they would charge my card for the final payment. I had already explained to the workers that the work was sub par and they needed to fix quite a few woods pieces that were installed already damaged. They didn't listen so I called my bank and asked them to freeze any payments to the company. The bank agreed and thats what they did. However, the bank didn’t realize that they would try and run the charge under a different company name, a trophy company, but the bank realized that the charge was awkward and declined it. Because of my complaints about the quality of the workmanship and supplies used, the owner came out to talk to me and realized that indeed the job had not been completed. However, he gave me a hard time about replacing the warped wood pieces. He stated that th”
“This is similar to the other one-star reviews. The salesman collected 50% up front and they did not deliver on time. Made promises that did not happen and bumped me for extra money when initially told me they would price match. I was also passed back and forth between people like no one wanted to take responsibility. Job is very disorganized and ok quality. Very disappointed customer! I will go elsewhere for my next project.”
