Mayes Wood Flooring

Mayes Wood Flooring takes on wood flooring projects in Beaumont, Texas. The company installs new hardwood floors and refinishes older ones through their store and crew. They handle both straightforward installs and repair work on existing surfaces. Rick, Heather, and Scott handle customer dealings and jobs on site.

Reviewers describe bringing them in to fix yellowed and scratched floors that had been sanded poorly before. Their crew restored those surfaces to a much better look. Others called after earlier attempts left floors in bad shape and needed recovery work. They have laid new floors in living rooms of recently built homes and completed full installations that left the wood in solid condition.

The crew arrives on time for most jobs and cleans up after the work finishes. They keep the process moving at a steady pace but set their own schedule and want decisions made quickly on selections. Prices land in a fair range for the hardwood work. Rick gets noted for knowing the products and helping customers through choices without extra hassle.

The business sits at a 4.5 rating from the reviews posted about them. Common points include solid results on real hardwood installs and refinishing plus staff knowledge on the trade. Some note they expect customers to fit around their timing and that one job left baseboards marked and the wood quality below what was there before.

“Certain crafts are harder to find skilled workmanship than others, and Mayes is the real deal. Our new home had yellowed, scratched floors that, in places, had been badly sanded. Their crew came in and made these floors a showstopper. They are absolutely gorgeous, and Mayes was quick and professional. Highly recommend.”

“Guys did an amazing job recovering my botched floors. Will highly recommend. Professional behavior, attitudes and skills. Cleaned up behind themselves, were punctual and intentional.”

“I wouldn't hire Mayes to floor my dog house. They did an insurance repair job at my place. They showed up at my home whenever they wanted withouta call. They put stain all over my base boards, that I had to fix. One of the installers made me feel uncomfortable. So I asked the owner and the office to Not send this guy back to my house. They sent him back out anyway. The quality of the wood floor that they reinstalled is subpar compared to the floor they replaced. Find another floor company.”
