Walter and Sons

Walter and Sons runs a flooring business out of Corpus Christi, Texas, with Rich overseeing the work. The company handles floor installations and related updates in kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms, often as part of larger remodel projects that include cabinet work, tile setting, and fixture changes. Crew members such as Dean and Jesse join Rich on jobs that range from simple floor replacements to full room conversions involving new surfaces and finishes.

Customers report hiring the crew for kitchen floor tiles and full kitchen updates that include removal of old materials and new layouts. Bathroom jobs come up often, with crews replacing tubs with walk-in showers, sealing floors, and installing tile while keeping daily messes contained. Pergola builds and stair work appear in reviews too, along with projects that fix water damage or convert spaces like studies into bedrooms. Reviewers note that Rich, Dean, and Jesse complete these tasks with steady daily progress and adjustments when plans shift mid-job.

The team responds quickly to calls, with Rich visiting sites the day after contact in some cases and delivering bids the same afternoon. They cover work areas with paper and plastic to protect existing surfaces, clean up each evening, and stay within the quoted amounts on most projects. Service stays local to the Corpus Christi area, with crews available during regular business hours and communication handled directly by Rich on repeat jobs.

Google shows a 4.5 rating from 31 reviews, where homeowners praise the crew's attention to detail, reasonable pricing, and cleanup habits while a smaller number mention occasional coordination issues. “Walter & son did a great job on my kitchen remodel. Showed up every day to work on my kitchen - they did removal of old cabinets and soffit, replaced plumbing, took off popcorn ceiling. Then kitchen remake- kitchen ceiling textured and painted, walls painted, new cabinets all installed perfectly. Even installed tile mural and some kitchen floor tiles. Super satisfied with kitchen remodel and ease of working with Rich and Jesse. I will call them again and I recommend Walter and Son Construction.”

“Rich and Dean were amazing! They did our flooring and kitchen cabinets. Everything looks phenomenal! We are winter Texans and are in construction up north. They were fast, very precise and hard workers. We have a few more projects and will not have anyone other than Walter and Sons in to do them. Thank you very much Rich and Dean.”

“I decided on Thursday that I needed a pergola to shield my porch from the afternoon sun. I called Walter & Sons after perusing “General Contractors” on google. Richard came on Friday to look at the area. By late that afternoon I received a reasonable bid. The cedar lumber was dropped off on Monday. Tuesday they built my pergola with solar fabric screens. They were very thorough and professional. I’m thrilled that I now have a shady porch that is built to last. I’ll be hiring them again when my porch needs to be replaced.”

“I am very pleased to have hired Walter and Sons to do our entire townhome remodel. We remodeled flooring, all fixtures, and gutted the kitchen and bathrooms for a brand new look, among many other things. They worked hard every day for 6 weeks, and always communicated where we stood in the process. Rich and his team (including Dean and Jesse) were pleasant and respectful throughout the process, even when I got picky about small things, or changed plans and ideas in the middle of the work. I have already recommended them to friends in the neighborhood.”

“A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of hiring Walter and sons to do a remodel on our shower in our spare bathroom . I’m here to tell you I’m so happy I found these guys they did a great job cleaning up after them selves every night before they went home. they put everything back the way it was before they started. They caulked they sealed the floor. Just an all-around awesome job will definitely be looking to hire them in the future again.”

“Walter & Sons Construction remodeled our bathroom and did a wonderful job! We had a small walk-in glass shower and large garden tub, and wanted a larger shower area and no tub. Rich helped us refine our ideas and went to work. First they laid down construction paper so as not to leave marks on our floor as they went in and out. They also covered furniture with plastic sheeting to prevent dust. They cleaned up each day before leaving, and I watched them work. Rich was very careful in measuring and all workmanship was topnotch. His estimate was reasonable and we picked out and had the wall and floor tile delivered, along with shower fixture, two ceiling fans with lights, and grab bars. Now we are waiting for a glass company to install a piece of glass on the pony wall he built. Very easy to work with and hard workers.”

“Barhroom remodel went better than i expected. Rich was prompt came in under budget. extremely talented with bathroom remodeling. I could not have asked for better service and since the bathroom remodel he has done a number of complicatex jobs like a new attached custom cedar pergola room which is the envy of the neiborhood. You will not go wrong with your bathroom or any other job you contract with Walter and sons.”

“I hire this remodeling company Walter & sons, owner is Rich Very, very please. We set a start date and he was on time. As is often the case with remodeling jobs unforeseen issues come up. We worked them out. They did a complete double walk in shower. I am very pleased and will be hiring them for additional work. Thanks Rich. Phil”

“I have been a repeat customer! Rich, the owner, has personally overseen the multiple projects that I’ve hired Walter & Sons for. The team is professional, personable, and when Rich has been doing the work, he’s also taking the time to teach me how to do some of the work because I’ve been curious to learn. This is a great company and I highly recommend, I wish I could give more than five stars.”

“I had a new master bath remodel by an incompetent/crooked contractor. The new shower he put in wasn't done correctly. He and his people either didn't know what they were doing or didn't care or both so the lousy job he did allowed water to find its way out of my shower. I had Rich from Walter and Sons come out and take a look and give me an estimate. I was impressed by how he looked the job over and explained it to me. By chance, my sister had some work on her bathroom and when I called to ask who she had hired and if she liked the work it turned out to be Walter and Sons. I hired Rich and he gave me a fair price, did the work in a timely manner and made it look good. I hired him to do some other jobs and was pleased with all the work and so was my wife. My sister also them come back for other jobs. I strongly recommend Walter and Sons and plan on using them for other home projects I have coming up.”

“Walter and Sons did a beautiful job on my stairs. This was a very complicated job and I was so impressed with how the job was handled from start to the final product. Rich the owner put a lot of thought into the project and even had to be creative with the materials I had. Very professional and upfront communication. I highly recommend Walter and Sons for all home remodel jobs.”

“We hired Walter and Sons for our kitchen remodel/update. They removed our old counters, backsplash, and appliances. They also tore out some cabinets we did not want to open our room up more. They were very professional as well as a pleasure to work with. They are very detailed and ensure you are happy with every thing they do. I am beyond pleased with the work they did. Our backsplash and granite counter tops look better than I even dreamed. They truly delivered my dream kitchen. We will definitely be using Walter and Sons for any future work we decide to do.”

“We had a study converted into a bedroom and our dining room converted into 2 spaces: a butler's pantry and a small office. Project only took 2 weeks and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Rich had no problem understanding our vision for the space and also made some suggestions for the existing arches on walls that we were closing up so that part of the arches remained on the insides of the new rooms which turned out to be cool features in these rooms. He also incorporated a pocket door between the pantry and office which also makes the new spaces even better. I'm very happy with the results and would recommend Walter and Sons for any home remodel project without hesitation.”

“Awesome work these guys do. Thank you so much for the accent wall I wasn't decisive on what I wanted to do but Dean and Rich were able to put together a creative design and point me in the right direction for my very anticipated wacky project. I highly recommend Walter and sons and will be using them in the near future.”

“I’ve used Walter and Sons for a master bathroom remodel and a kitchen remodel. I was completely satisfied with their work both times. If you can envision what you want, they can make it happen with their experience, expertise, and creativity. They’ll guide you through the process and even make suggestions to save you time and money.”
