William French Home Improvements

William French Home Improvements takes on flooring jobs in Flower Mound, Texas. Gary Jackson runs the operation and lines up crews for installs like ceramic tile across living and dining rooms, carpet in bedrooms, and full first floor replacements. The work often ties into bigger updates such as removing old walls for open layouts or refacing fireplaces with new tile. Crew members including Miguel and Joe Norris handle the day to day installs and keep the projects moving.

Homeowners describe jobs where crews swapped out narrow pantry walls, added beams, and laid fresh flooring to open up kitchens and living areas. Others had whole house floor changes completed in a few weeks, with different materials chosen for bedrooms versus main spaces. Gary walked through material options and used contractor pricing to keep costs down, while Miguel handled the tile work and made sure everything lined up clean. Repeat customers came back for second round flooring after seeing how the first projects turned out.

The crew stays in touch through group texts and daily updates on who will show up and when. They pencil jobs into the schedule quickly, finish on the timelines they give, and leave sites tidy with floor protectors in place. Pricing stays reasonable with no last minute markups beyond what the owner picks for materials. Service stays local to Flower Mound and nearby spots, with crews showing up on time and working straight through until each phase wraps.

The company holds a 4.9 rating from 49 reviews. Reviewers note the same points again and again: clear communication from Gary and the project managers, careful handling of existing surfaces, and flooring results that make older homes feel brighter and more open.

“I would highly recommend Williams French for your next remodel project. They did a great job on our primary bedroom/bath update. The quality of the work is great. They were very responsive using a group text between myself, my husband, the project manager, and operations for communication.”

“I would hire William French again if I ever have home improvement needs. Wil Reed was very knowledgeable in helping bring my vision to life, and Miguel (working manager) was awesome to work with! We had an ineffective narrow pantry wall that divided our kitchen from our living room, and we knocked it down, put up a beam and installed a custom island in its place. They also painted our dark cabinets white and replaced our outdated fluorescent light with 4 can lights. The difference in how the space feels is unbelievable! From dark and cramped, to bright and open. We couldn't be happier! Oh, and they finished it in 2 weeks from start to finish! Hire them. You won't regret it!”

“Williams French did an amazing job of changing out my 30" gas cooktop to a 36" and the range hood from a 28" one to a 36" one. Gary was very caring of my requirements and made several trips to ensure the products I was choosing would fit. His team was excellent and cleaned up very well. Could barely tell they had cut granite. I would recommend him any day and I will be calling.him for my other projects.”

“Professional, thorough, and very accommodating. The kitchen and laundry room look great. Gary’s design fit a highly functional kitchen into a very tiny space and managed to make it beautiful too. And Joe kept the work moving forward at a good pace. The team put down heavy floor protectors so nothing was damaged, cleaned up after themselves and even managed to surprise me with little complimentary fixes around the house. (They rebuilt an outdoor counter that had warped and put the shelves I didn’t use from the kitchen cabinets into an awkward space in the bathroom). Above all, they were extremely thoughtful in keeping the walkways clear and the area safe, a consideration I appreciated as it’s difficult to navigate with a walker in a cluttered area. I highly recommend Gary Jackson and his team.”

“We love our kitchen remodel. We think it came out great. The team was easy to work with and attentive to our needs. I'm sure a lot of companies due quality work and William French Home Improvements is no different, but the biggest compliment I can give them is that they had outstanding communication and showed up every time they were scheduled to be at our home working over the two month renovation project. That isn't always the case with other providers and allowed us to better manage our schedules during this process.”

“We had a bathroom remodel to remove a tub and replace with walk in shower and had Gary Jackson complete it. The standard of the work was excellent (tiling walls and floor, glass doors, fixtures and painting) and the contractors were careful and clean. The communication with Gary was first class. He kept us up to speed with progress, informed us when the contractors would be arriving, and of any small delays (which did not impact the overall timing). Would not hesitate to use Gary again, or recommend to others.”

“Engaged Gary to remodel our ensuite and guest WC in their entirety - he was great to work with and provided great insights and guidance. Gary outlined and oversaw a complex project that required multiple sub contractors and realized a remodel that exceeded expectations at a very reasonable cost. Have referred him business and expect to use William French for future remodels.”

“Second Review 7/16/24: We just completed our second renovation with Gary Jackson. His team completely rebuilt our entire kitchen, new tile floors throughout our first floor, fireplace, and rebuilt our guest bath and shower. We are extremely pleased with the way everything turned out. It looks amazing! I went straight to Gary with our big remodel because of his prior work on our Master Bathroom. He still has it and does absolutely fantastic work. I highly recommend Gary Jackson for any renovation project your future holds. **************************************************************** Gary Jackson and his team of professionals completely remodeled our Master Bathroom in Flower Mound. It looks absolutely amazing! Gary has a keen eye and he provided us with design suggestions with items on his extensive show floor, other companies wanted to charge us design fees, but Gary did not. We had William French install a new shower with frameless glass and porcelain tile to the ceiling. They installed a beautiful free standing tub with tub filler and hand crafted a bench next to the tub. They installed new texture on our walls and beautifully painted them along with our cabinet”

“We loved our past experience with William French in 2021 we asked them to update our Jack and Jill bath this summer. The experience was once again fantastic. Gary Jackson helped us selecting all of the materials. His contractor discount came in handy at one of the popular home improvement sites. He chose a great bathtub and the glass for the shower/tub was beautiful. As was the experience last time, Gary and his project manager Joe Norris kept us informed of which trades would be showing up at the house. If you have been frustrated with prior remodeling projects where you have to continue to ask a contractor what happens next, that will not happen with Gary and Joe. They will keep you informed every step of the way. As was the case last time, the project was completed within the estimated time. In this case, less than three weeks from demo to finished product.”

“My husband and I love our shower remodel. Gary and Shauna helped us envision design ideas, even allowing me to adjust the plan in the middle of the project. They both have a great sense of design, and we appreciated their help in choosing the tiles and flooring to incorporate with our existing bathroom. Miguel did most of the work and is an incredible craftsman with a great attention to detail. They were not the cheapest option, but the quality of their work and superb customer service made it more than worth the cost. I highly recommend them, and we will use them again in the future without hesitation.”

“Excellent job once again!! We hired Gary over the past 3 years to remodel our master bathroom and kitchen. This time William French replaced our downstairs flooring with ceramic tile in the living and dining room, and new carpet in the master bedroom. We also had our fireplace refaced with tile and everything looks awesome!! They also replaced most of our baseboards that brightened up our 20-year old home. I'll certainly be calling Gary for our next project of replacing the upstairs flooring. Great job!!”

“We are repeat customers which says a lot about William French Home Improvements. We recently had our guest bathroom remodeled after having such a positive experience with our master bathroom remodel a few years earlier. Gary and his team more than exceeded our already high expectations. Our project manager Miguel was incredible and his craftsmanship is of the highest quality. Gary is someone who cares about the job being done correctly and goes above and beyond to remedy any obstacles that arise throughout a remodel experience. I would highly recommend William French Home Improvements to any friends, family or neighbors in my community. Thanks for making our home so beautiful Gary!”

“My husband and I recently purchased our first home together. Prior to moving in we wanted to update the flooring as our first remodel item. Gary did a great job walking us through the process and sharing some knowledge with us on selecting floors. We selected different flooring between the bedrooms and living areas. Gary and his team were able to pencil us in and finish all within 3 weeks, the longest part was us selecting the floor. We are so happy with our floors we will be looking forward to working with William French for our kitchen and bathroom remodels next year. Thank you Gary and team!”

“William French did a fabulous remodel of our master bath. We basically had our bathroom gutted and reconfigured. Gary did an excellent job helping us conceptualize the redesign. It was incredibly helpful to be able to go to his showroom and pick out our materials, without having to run around to different tile shops trying to piece things together. Miguel did excellent tile, plumbing, and construction work. We will definitely use William French on future projects!”

“This was our first significant house remodeling experience (kitchen and guest bath), and William French Home Improvements made it great! Gary Jackson was our main point of contact, and he was very easy to work with, stayed close to the initial deadline and was an absolute professional. We also worked closely with Miguel, a core project manager, who was also very professional, did great work and gave us peace of mind. Renos may hardly go off without a hitch - a few things changed outside of our control and then we changed a few things up mid-stream - but Gary was able to keep us close to the timeline provided at the start and was also very budget-conscious given our last-minute changes. I am beyond pleased with the finished product (the kitchen is phenominal!), and I would highly recommend Gary, Miguel and William French to anyone looking for an excellent, cost-effective remodeling experience. I expect to be a repeat customer in our next remodel endeavor!”

“Gary was great to work with, Helped us chose all materials and advised us throughout the entire process. We had a full kitchen remodel, all new floors for the whole house. Fireplace remodel with tile facing. Complete bathroom remodel. Quality of the work was excellent. Every person that came into our house was friendly and treated us and our house with respect. We could not be happier with the results. All of our concerns were taken care of. Communication was always prompt. Gary was always available via text, email, phone.”

“My husband and I had our small guest bathroom remodeled in the summer of 2023 and had a good experience working with Gary and Miguel at William French. I'm very pleased with how the bathroom turned out and the attention to detail. The estimate was very fair and there were no surprises when it came time for the final payment. Most importantly to me, the work is high quality and any concerns or questions I had were answered and addressed. I'm looking forward to working with them again when we are ready to remodel our master bathroom.”

“I can’t say how pleased I am with my new remodeled bathroom. Gary Jackson was awesome to work with. He spent a lot of time working with me to pick out tile for the new shower. He was always professional and responded very quickly to any emails, texts, or phone calls. His team came everyday on time and worked until the job was done. They never left a mess and didn’t interfere with any activity going on with my family. His cost is reasonable and fair and I will not think twice about calling him again for my next remodel ing job.”

“We worked with Gary to transform our kitchen and living to a new open living space. He was great to work with and really helped us bring our vision to life! As unbelievable as it may sound, his initial quote was very close to the final cost, with the only overages being our own selections of higher cost materials. He was thoughtful in timing the phases of our project. We didn't have to live without our kitchen long, as he waited for cabinets to be ready before demoing the existing kitchen...that can't be said for some friends who were also doing a remodel and went several months without a kitchen. Next, we cannot say enough about Miguel, our on-site project manager. He oversaw the daily demo and reconstruction of our project and was joy to have around. The work we had done included complete kitchen demo and installation of new cabinetry and appliances, removal of several load-bearing walls, and demo and refacing our fireplace. I would highly recommend Gary and his team for your next project!”

“William French just completed remodeling my entire 3300 SF home and adding a game room and bath upstairs. There is not an inch of this home that they didn’t remodel. Gary Jackson was outstanding from the very beginning through the completion of the project. Miguel (Project Manager) also did a fantastic job! They worked with me every step of the way to ensure that everything turned out perfect! I’m extremely happy that I chose William French and would highly recommend them to anyone!”
