Five Star Flooring

Five Star Flooring runs a flooring store and installation service from its spot at 127 W Main St in Grand Prairie, Texas. The operation is family owned and staffed by people who handle floor selections and actual installs. Karen works with customers on picking materials while Ken, Tim, and Eugene Junior handle the on-site work during remodels.

Reviewers describe jobs that include full remodel flooring, tile laying, and even redoing pieces from other trades when the crew spotted issues that would affect the final look. One account notes the installers went back and fixed items another contractor had left substandard so the flooring would not suffer by comparison. Selections often involve walking through options with patience until the right product fits the budget and the space.

The company earns mentions for reasonable prices and repeat business from the same households over multiple years. Customers say the team stays dependable and straightforward when expectations get laid out clearly at the start. Work stays local to the Grand Prairie area with no details given on exact hours or travel limits beyond that.

Reviews total six and split between praise for the crew's fit and finish plus family treatment and criticism that some installs fell short on quality with one case requiring outside plumbing fixes afterward. Topics that repeat include pricing, the owners' involvement, and mixed results on the finished floors.

“I am 70 years young and have been associated with the home construction industry for 47 years. I have never seen the Quality of work, from any contractor, that could compare with Ken, Tim and Eugene “Junior” These guy’s not only did their job, but reinstalled a few products from another trade that did not meet Ken’s approval on my remodel job. Ken was not going to let another contractor make his work look inferior. If you want the very best fit and finish, get Five Star Flooring to do your remodel. Communicate what you want, what you expect and don’t be surprised if you are WOWED by these guy’s”

“It is so refreshing to actually go into a business with such wonderful customer service. For something as stressful as figuring out floor selections. Karen will go over and beyond to find what you are looking for. They also have some of the best prices too. Karen will literally treat you like family to find what you are looking for and are very patient when it comes to making a decision. Very knowledgeable and go above a beyond to make their customers happy. The only thing that I regret, Is that my husband and I didnt find this place sooner.”

“We used Five Star Flooring for two years in a row as well as several of our family members. Not only are they a very reasonably priced company but they are dependable, trustworthy, and the KINDEST people you will work with. I will recommend this family owned company over and over.”

“The owners of Five Star Flooring in Grand Prairie are crooks and lier's. They'll promise you good service and deliver very poor quality. RUN FAR AND FAST FROM THESE PEOPLE !!!”

“Every bit of plumbing they did had to be re-done by a certified plumber. The tile they laid would never pass the quarter test.”

“Nice place with good coffee.”
