Texas First Floors

Texas First Floors handles flooring work out of Grapevine, Texas. Ron runs the company and leads jobs that cover carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile and stone, luxury vinyl plank, stair work, and wood floor installation. They also take on waterproof flooring projects and related trim or baseboard installs across the Dallas and Fort Worth area. The business lists additional work in tile contracting and stair construction.

Customers call Ron and his crews for full floor replacements after water leaks, carpet removal in multiple rooms, and switches to luxury vinyl plank or large porcelain tile. Ron, Jesus, Jonathan, Freddie, and Angel have handled bathroom tile, upstairs carpet, downstairs hardwood, kitchen backsplash additions, and carpet repairs from pet damage. Reviewers note the teams matched caulk to cabinets, ground brick for better baseboard fit, prepped homes to limit dust, and finished projects that included wall and trim fixes alongside the new floors.

Ron stays quick on the phone and text for quotes and scheduling, often starting work within days and wrapping jobs in one to three days. Crews keep sites clean, work around furniture moves and pets, and adjust for extra repairs like those from slab leaks. Pricing comes in competitive and fair for the size of the job, with service reaching Dallas neighborhoods such as Bishop Arts and Winnetka Heights plus the broader DFW region.

Reviewers give the company top marks across more than twenty accounts for quality results, steady updates from Ron, and crews that finish on time without leftover mess. Common points include strong attention to detail on older homes and reliable follow-through on both small room jobs and whole-house changes.

“Ron and his team did an amazing job. We decided to go with tile in two bathrooms carpet in the upstairs and I really high-quality hardwood downstairs. New baseboards and I liked the quality of their work so much we added a backsplash in our kitchen. they were really good about working with us when it comes to moving big furniture and us being in and out of the house we needed to be out of the house for about a week and a half to two weeks but that’s because we added multiple additional jobs like painting and backsplash. Ron is extremely easy to work with. He also took care of one of our rentals in my parents at the same time. The best thing is that they are high-quality and also fast it’s also worth noting that immediately. It’s really obvious that Ron is extremely passionate about making sure everything is right. I wish more contractors were like that”

“We appreciated having Ron’s guidance through our entire floor replacement. He had great choices to choose from for the new floor at a price we felt was fair. Ron was always very responsive by phone and text. This made the entire process painless. I appreciate this because I haven’t always experienced this with other home contractors. His crew was very professional. They prepped our home well so that there wasn’t a mess of dust or other materials for us to clean after the job. Overall, we were happy to have the work done within a week, start to finish. Our project came about from a kitchen water leak, so that meant some wall and trim repair also needed to be done. Ron and crew also handled this well. The paint work on the baseboards looks great despite the change in height of new floor material. This saved us a lot of money in the long run, with not having to replace the baseboards. I would recommend Ron and Texas First Floors to anyone.”

Ron is fantastic and a great communicator, he was happy to answer every question and checked in frequently along the way. The attention to detail sets Texas First Floors apart, from matching the caulk to the colors of our cabinets to grinding down the brick on the fireplace to make the floorboard blend in more cohesively. Jesus and Jonathan were great and did the entire project in one day! We are super pleased and recommend Ron and Texas First Floors for their great work product and professionalism.”

“Had a great experience with Texas First Floors. Ron was extremely responsive during the entire process and was quick to adjust to our needs. Our project included removal of all carpet in our house, as well as removal of some tile and wood flooring. We replaced it all with luxury vinyl planks. “I highly recommend Texas First Floors for any job big or small! Ron was super easy to work with, gave me a competitive quote and his guys (Jesus and I feel horrible I can't remember the other's name) worked hard! They replaced the carpet in 3 rooms and closets, plus master and closets and price was just right! I quoted 3 other places and their prices where INSANE! The job took 2.5 days - would've been 2, but we had a slight issue with our AC which delayed them by half a day. I absolutely love our new floors and am so happy there is not a thread of carpet in my home!”

“Ron from Texas First Floors was amazing to work with. He guided us through the process of choosing the right floor for our home, but he went far beyond what we could imagine. We had additional home repairs needed after an under-slab leak, and he led us to the right people to do each part of the job. The crew that took out our old floor and installed the new floor and baseboards was skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient. In addition, Ron came by daily to check on the progress and was a great problem solver when necessary. We are so pleased with our new floors.”

“Ron and Angel are amazing to work with! They are professional, detailed and so easy to work with. This is our second time using them for different spaces. Highly recommend! Sandy”

“We recently had Texas First Floors install about 800 sq ft of over sized 40”x40” porcelain tile in our living room, den, and kitchen. The floor turn out great with the installers doing a beautiful job! Jesus and his crew explained the work flow during the course of the project. The install team came in and advised they would take care of the problem and put in some great floors. The Project Lead visited my site multiple times to check on the work and had great communication. The team he sent to do the work was beyond top notch. Hands down the best flooring install experience I’ve ever had. Texas First Floors has got themselves a lifetime customer!”

“My partner and I live in the Bishop Arts/Winnetka Heights area and we have been renovating a historic home from top to bottom. We finally reached the refinishing of the floors phase and had several bids from contractors and many were intimidated by the soft floors of the 1914 home. We hired someone that was reasonably priced and let that person go after he couldn't feather in the areas that needed work done, deemed it impossible. We went back to the drawing board and were impressed with Texas First Floors, in particular the attention Ron Squires paid to the feathering, support and all around knowledge of the 100 year old floors that are not common. We were very pleased with his workmanship, commitment and pricing. I'd recommend Ron Squires and Texas First Floors to friends and family. You wont be disappointed and if there's anything that comes up, Ron takes care of it. I wish we had found them first.”
